current petrol price in USA
by Varun katyal on May 16, 2011 10:52 AM

current price in USA is Rs.42 per litre of gasoline & Rs.46 per litre of diesel.

USA also imports al most equivalent amount of crude oil as by india(remeber equivalent not equal). Which means there r still a lot of ways by which oil price can b lowered but these politicians r just too much.

A Great Finance Minister
by AswathaKumar K on May 16, 2011 10:52 AM

We have a great finance Minister Mr Pranab Mukherjee, these lopsided activities will take place. The meager Tax Free Conveyance allowance is an indication as to the Country's finances and tax proposals are prepared by the Congress syndicate.

A software engineer salary in India is Rs 40000 per month on avg. If the SAME engineer goes to US, he will earn around 1.5 lakhs per month.

The same applies to all industries. Not just software.

Now you decide.

Chalta Hai:

You are not good at driving best bargains when in the US... that seems to be the decision... :)

You should have found out the equivalent distance of Delhi to Mumbai rather than flying from NY to LA... ;-)

Brothers ! Don't drain your energy pointing fingers at religion. Islam as a religion was established after Christ, but Adam who was the first human is a muslim as he belived in One God and in his messenger.I request to know the religion better then speak against it.

Not all that costly
by Shyam Sunder on May 16, 2011 10:42 AM

Fuel is not all that costly. As per a recent study anybody earning more than Rs.20 per day in India should not be considered poor. The government is making a big blunder by raising the prices every now and then. Instead they should make one litre petrol Rs.1000 and one litre Diesel Rs.990 (so that Diesel is still cheaper than petrol) and not bother about global price-rise for next few years. All the opposition parties will fight for a week or ten days and forget it and the common man will get accustomed to walking instead of using any motor vehicles. That way roads will not be congested and only emergency services, government OFFICERs and politicians will be using cars.
