every student is impressed with IT cos. But they have collected data from employees:-) As soon as u join them u face the "reality". Even among these companies they are many who does not belong to the list. But nothing can be perfect.

Wipro? Maruti Suzuki ?
by Sangita Menon on May 06, 2011 12:59 PM  | Hide replies

Wipro? One of the best employers?

I never heard a best joke in recent times !! haha !
PS: Also, Maruti Suzuki in the list? No one would enjoy working in Japanese controlled companies !!
In one certain Japanese bank branch in delhi, the staff are told that they should not lock the drawers...in the evenings, after all the employees leave, the Japanese executives open the drawers and check the contents.. to keep a tab on their staff..this is standard HR practice in Japanese companies in India....They want slaves....not thinking human beings !!

Japaneese do it openly, others do it covertly. :-) If you are in service, employer has right to protect his assest whichever way he think works for him. Beggers have no choice.

To all the graduates from top engineering colleges with non-programming background ( Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Production, Mettalurgy etc), If you want to spoil your career right away, attend the campus interviews of TCS, Infosys, CTS, Wipro and other IT giants. You will be paid a good 3-4 lpa CTC and promised a bright future. At the end of the day, they require educated coolies to work on some crap US maintenance projects in night shifts. You will very soon find that, you don’t get a career, instead you get some money and in the process ruin your carreer. After about 2-3 years of work exp there, you will look like a clueless buffoon. Good luck.

Agree. IT cos have turned the country in another slave country , than a country of innovation. But you cannot blame them either, people in india want easy money easy life without taking risks without doing hard work. They think they are making good money but actually they are loosing a lot in long term.
