Why politicians don't want to fight corruption
by Raghavan on May 04, 2011 07:16 PM

Have u seen to-day's Dinamalar under the article "Tea Shop Bench" which I used to read as soon as I get the newspaper which is very interesting. Under the article a man is saying to his friend that a "Transport Minister" has purchased a property of 3 acres of vacant land from one chettiar family in Kotturpuram which is a prominent place in Chennai at a cost of Rs.600 crores which I and u can't imagine. He is going to utilise the property for construction of flats. Can any one buy the property at a huge amount. What is his salary and what is source of income for purchasing the property which the god alone knows. May be he would have got any share from the spectrum scandle? What he has disclosed in his IT return? It is clear that the politicians will always don't want to fight against corruption since they are part and parcel of it and without anything no file will move from their table.

Though this type of excellent articles are written, films are made, etc, corruption will exist, as it is a cycle, which starts from aam aadmi to executives to beaurocrats to judiciary to politics and/or vice versa.

Youth makes the brand!
by Vivek Gupta on May 04, 2011 06:45 PM  | Hide replies

Crores of talented youths are unemployed in India. Government services are now meant for persons with influence and money to bribe. Not surprisingly, inefficient and corrupt babus are providing 75% of Govt. services.

Example:
New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has mandate to recruit certain staff via DSSSB(Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board). But, who cares about the rules at NDMC? Thousands of contractors are regularly recuited by NDMC and are even converted to permanent employees after a few years of contracts. There is concensus at senior level in NDMC to pass unified resolutions favouring each other. The poor talented guy is left out to rot on streets. Soon this guy learns a few tricks to cheat others and make life out of cheating.

All the youths in India want a government job. In government/PSU jobs, permanent job security is assured along with high salaries and regular pay commissions. Work is optional and there are many opportunities to make "extra money".
