Most of the article is nonsense. The source of all these troubles is the massive size and scope of the government and its ability to interfere in the working of the market forces, that provide politicians, bureaucrats and a few businessmen with the incentive and opportunity to amass vast illicit wealth. If we could cut the government to one-tenth its current size, deregulate and privatize everything except for the basic, legitimate government functions, cut the power of RBI to print money and adopt gold standard, there will be 1) very little corruption since the scope for it will reduce, 2) no incentive for flight of capital since the atmosphere will be cnoducive to investment here itself and our 3)currency would effectively rise against most global currencies. This is the only way to prosperity and poverty alleviation.
Politics, elections, party workers, man power, campaign, buying people (etc)all this need enormous amount of money?where will they get it from?corruption? So democracy is to be blamed?
Have u seen to-day's Dinamalar under the article "Tea Shop Bench" which I used to read as soon as I get the newspaper which is very interesting. Under the article a man is saying to his friend that a "Transport Minister" has purchased a property of 3 acres of vacant land from one chettiar family in Kotturpuram which is a prominent place in Chennai at a cost of Rs.600 crores which I and u can't imagine. He is going to utilise the property for construction of flats. Can any one buy the property at a huge amount. What is his salary and what is source of income for purchasing the property which the god alone knows. May be he would have got any share from the spectrum scandle? What he has disclosed in his IT return? It is clear that the politicians will always don't want to fight against corruption since they are part and parcel of it and without anything no file will move from their table.
