In the country where ~ 50% is BPL, which aam aadmi you are talking about? If the Railways is not imposing any fare hike, all should be thankful to the ministry.

if the fare hike is substituted by compromising on the service quality being offered, it does not serve any purpose. the railways needs to improve its efficiency.

India stinking Railway
by pradeep agarwal on Mar 09, 2011 06:37 PM

The largest Rail network is also the dirtiest & deserves harshest possible indictment from paying public. The story of railway is exploitation by highly corrupt & semi literate politicians who from beginning used it to meet their political goals. It is a nightmare for any sensible middle class person to use Indian railway that offers stinking Eco-unfriendly toilets, rubbish as food & unkept platforms with no or dirty civic facilities.railway need a Jagmohan who could even set right Kashmir by his disciplined & honest approach as Governor soon or this goose that lays golden eggs for government will die of ill health.

The idea that you have to
a. pay for a service
b.pay enough for the service to run efficiently

does not naturally come to socialists/communists with an eye on the election. If the system is being damned so be it.

Might as well call it the ministry of employment, instead of railways

nobody is commenting on your glorious leader's honesty. the comments on the article are specific to the matter of basic amenities and discipline in railways.

She is thee worst thing to happen to passengers using railway. She has no time for her official work & files are piling for decisions taht are crucial to run the show.Sonia Gandhi has compromised too much to save her government by allowing likes of Mamta an epitome of inefficiency & Raja now synonym of corruption.

She could have done a better job if she fully dedicated herself for the railways only rather than trying to be the CM of WB.

I think a new policy has to be made, where the State govt and Central Govt both share the equal responsibility and profit in running the trains within a State, so that the aam aadmi will be benifitted with new trains and new destination to travel at relatively cheaper cost.

Didi is not taking care of Bengal, she is using railways to be the CM of Bengal. She spends more time in Kolkata than New Delhi and inaugurates trains and stations with her TMC leaders where TMC leaders have nothing to do with railways. She should spend more time on railways than the upcoming election in WB. She is a crazy woman.
