INDIANS ARE HARD WORKING. India is a hardworking country. In India agriculture is the main sector, about 10% government sector, 30%-40% are private sector. This article has taken the percentage of holidays utilised by a government / private sector employee, not the other sector. So this article is worthless in comparision.

The report says that Japanese people work 1,714 hours a year on an average. If we remove 52 days for Sundays and 52 days for Saturdays and 16 public holidays then it leaves effective working days of 245 and an average of 7 hours per day. In India the minimum working hours is 8 and if we remove 52 Sundays and 52 Saturdays and 16 Public Holidays and 30 Paid leaves a year, it leaves with an effective working days of 215. Multiply this by 8 and the answer is 1,720 hours per year. Moreover in India a big proportion of people work on Saturdays (some half day and some full days) and 1,720 hours per year is calculated excluding the effect of Saturday working. Indians are the most hardworking people in the world unless China claims otherwise:) and we cant dispute Chinese claims as it is a communist country and those idiots can claim anything. China can even claim that Google is a Chinese company

Think they might've got the figures wrong for Japan.
In any case, there are also as many days for sick leave (maybe 12-16 per year) and things like hospitalisation leave (upto 60 days a year) and in the case of women, maternity leave (maybe a couple of months or more).
That said, the Japanese are still much more hard working and the amount of work they put in for a single day is a lot, they squeeze it to the maximum almost everyday. It is a stressful environment, specially for Indians who are not used to a lot of control and consistent back breaking effort.
look how hard raja slogged;then we have the hard working kalmadi and his gang; what about kapil who works hard to spew out shit; we have the sardar who works so hard that at the end of the day he does not know what he was working for; chiddi... the most hardworking hm so desperate to please a very hardworking italian; with these great persons we should rank number 1 and not 7
