The basic problem is that Govt. spending more money for industrialization and industries are coming in the cultivable land. They should know that if we make nuts and bolts, we can't eat. Take steps to create industries in cultivable land and help the farmers to cultivate more. Also request top Industrialists to hire empty land and make it cultivable. This is the only way to get rid off food problem.

Yes, public knows about it, but alas, our Politicians and Ministers are sleeping. One way, we are exporting foods to foreign countries, importing low qualities food products for Indian Citizen. Alloting and converting fertile lands on construction activites or industrial purpose, force farmers to give their lands for nonagricultural purpose and thereby agricultural lands are getting curtailed and farmers even those who are cultivating some foods and agricultural products are not getting good price for their products as brokers are coming and taking huge products thereby making huge profits and causing inflationary price on food products. Other side, food products are getting rotten in food godowns of FCI and they are even not alloted to the needy persons who are still not getting one good meal per day. Ministers particularly the Agricultural Ministry of our Govt. is worthless and he is not interested for that ministry and indulging other tactics by looting wealth of Indians by hook or by crook.

seems this oxfam character is in dire needs of funds to keep it afloat.stpid article.with millions of tons of grain in india rotting away due to lack of storage space they call india is in food crisis.40 per cent of indians severely malnourished.think this oxfam needs nourishing oxigen in their system to make their brains function properly.
keep Food minister behind bar for 6 month without food,he will realize the pain of hungry people.He will stop all sorts of looting software to loot people of India.God has given all sorts of richness to India but Devil political leader made this country as terrible and painful to survive common honest people.
its a propaganda by Govt on India... food grains are being wasted due to lack of storage and Govt keeps on importing food at a very high price. What a pity.....

Very true. It is propaganda to hike food price. Recently supreme court has told that extra grains are avaialble.
