Obsession with SPECTACULAR, WORLD CLASS....ETC ETC
by ContraView on Jul 30, 2011 12:31 PM

I dont know why we have this obsession with the above mentioned words/ parameters....The new airports of Delhi, Hyd & Bangalore are so so far from the city that it is a NIGHTMARE for frequent travellers. Mumbai handles much higher traffic with an old airport which is right in the middle of the city.

We should be focussing on CONVENIENCE and not on useless stuff like 'forced' shopping, flashy lighting & slippary flooring. I am sure soon we will wake up to this priority.

To The Above Idiots,
U.P is the home of eight Prime Ministers
1.Jawahar Lal Nehru
2.Lal Bahadur Shastri
3.Indira Gandhi
4.Charan Singh
5.Rajiv Gandhi
6.V.P. Singh
7.ChandraShekhar Singh
8.A.B. Vajpayee
U.P. is making rapid strides on the path of development.
And as far as having ultra modern airports is concerned,We UPites are not snobs..we dont show off...instead of splurging money on unnecessary things..we focus on eliminating poverty and reducing the chasm between haves and have nots.

Although I agree with you in principle, but we do need modern infrastructure in UP. For example, according to the latest figures, UP has the maximum number of people leaving the country, and this number is more than Kerala. Most of our people are also going to gulf. But they have to travel to Delhi to get international flights. It will be good if Lko and Varanasi are converted into international airports. Also there should be an airport in Western UP (Noida or Meerut).

For ur information, Lucknow is the capital of UP and there are direct flights to Dubai, Sharjah, Riyadh, Jeddah and Muscat from Lucknow. It is international airport but still named Ch. Charan Singh Airport. May be because it does not have international airport facilities.

Airports in UP need improvement
by Uttar Pradeshi on Jul 29, 2011 11:41 AM  | Hide replies

Although UP now has a large number of airports: Lucknow, Agra, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, and Kanpur, yet they figure nowhere in the list. State government should take interest in this, because if good airports are established in UP, travel time will reduce for travel within UP and outside of it, as more and more people will opt for it. Additionally, a high-quality international airport should be established in Noida so that the burden on IG airport in Delhi can be reduced. For example, the New York City area has three very good airports: JFK, Laguardia and New Ark.

Sorry about that, I forgot about Varanasi. That means that UP has at least six airports which is a very good number. But, now the quality of airports should be improved starting with Lucknow.

Jaipur and Delhi Airports are World Class
by zindaa hoon on Jul 29, 2011 11:37 AM

Recently I travelled to Jaipur and Delhi. From Delhi I took an international flight. I must say that Jaipur and Delhi are very fine airports. In Delhi, both the domestic and the international terminals are world class, and can be compared to the European airports. Now it is time to focus on other major airports in North such as Lucknow, Bhopal etc.

Check out the List of corrupt officers in india and Nominate the most corrupt person of the month.

We all have paid bribe some time or the other because we were left with no other choice. Many people tend to put blame on bribe givers for the corruption but they don't realize that no body happily bribes some one. Here is an opportunity to punish those who forced us to become corrupt and become a party to this corruption.

Please share your bribe experience at sites dot google dot com slash site slash letstrackbribes , short URL is goo. gl/cymBM (remove space between . and gl) for all to understand the circumstances under which you were forced to bribe some one. While you are at it, expose the corrupt officer and departments so that others dealing with those offices and officers knows well in advance what to expect. You can also bing "Bribe Tracker to Expose the corrupt" to reach this site. Its the first site in bing result.

I have traveled across Asia,Europe,Africa and Middle East. The facilities at Hyderabad airport are good but I would not call it the best. The lounge facilities @ Hyderabad are far over priced and boring!!!
