If you people hate so much to UPians & Biharis' then why you have adopted Hindi as a language & culture of these two states as a base of Bollywood. You people better know that without UP, Bihar & Hindi you cannot earn even your daily bread & butter, but never accept it. Because the real courage is to accept one's weakness. You should ashamed of being like this.

For those who say Mumbai is big because of British only
by howudoudo on Jul 23, 2011 09:55 AM

British left India more than 60 years ago.

Many Indian cities had their foundations during British era, including Mumbai.

The situation today is many of those cities have fallen to the wayside, lost their standings... but Mumbai still is number one in business. Maharashtra is number 1 state in industrialisation. It says a great deal about the locals of Maharashtra.

It will be a great relief for Maharashtra and Marathi language, if Hindi film-making base shifts to their home states.

You have grown mainly because of Tamils, Kannadigas, Gujaratis and Biharis too. It is a second larger state in population and area. Have pride about Punjab, Haryana. All southern states seem to be better minus kerala. States having metro cities have developed faster except WB. Failure of Kerala and WB is due to the influence of Communist causing no industrial growth. Metro cities states are developed because of migration of differently calibered citizens from other states.

West bengal with literally no industries has more GDP than karnataka where maximum software multinationals are located. Andhra pradesh in 3rd place over tamilnadu is even more f'ing hilarious as telengana issue over the last few years have put the state's economy in total disarray.

I did a survey and found out that rediff ranks in employing retard statisticians and columnist only followed by tehelka.

dear fellow rediff users,
y we r creating a fuss over which state ison top and why??cant we think of all the states having GDP as high as possible...so that India can outshine other developed countries of the world??

Rather than visiting sites on IT top revenue generation states,, cant we suggest measures for improvement of backward states and further maximization of GDP from the states which are it better shape???
