Mamta and Railways Perf orrmance
by bharat sant on Jan 28, 2011 08:19 PM  | Hide replies

Railway portfolio was given to Mamta Banerjee for considerations other than her leadership qualities or even her competence. What can you expect from a person who has no interest in the job she has been assigned? Only failure. The result of her attitude is simple: the entire heirarchy in Railways is interested in its own self, own glory, and own earning as much money as possible. Who has taught them this? Mamtaji.

Both Mamtaaji and Laluji had only one-point formula as Railway Ministers viz, fulfilling their own ambitions, helping their kith and kin. Who cares for the country, who cares for the People? The claimed profit-earning for Railways during Lalu's time was a pure gimmick, a Sarkar-magic. Lalu's speeches or even talks were obnoxious and spoke of arrogance. Mamtaji is no better though different. At least she is going to admit loss to railways. But there is no touch of humility in what she says. The only real man of integrity and honesty at the helm of affairs of Railways was Nitish Kumar. His character is reflecting once again as Chief Minster.

I shudder to think Mamtaji as Chief Minister of West Bengal. She will destroy the State. People should be made aware of this aspect of Mamtaji. They say known devil is better than unknown angel. It is better to re-elect CPI(M).

He is correct. He tells that the glass is half full. It's also true that the communists are doing the same what Mamata is doing. Both need to be defeated. Only Buddadev from the communist party must win. The voting result should be CPM-1 Trinamool-0 Congress-0 and all others must win. Let there be progress in WB. Let all anti-nation maoists, communists, congress be defeated in this election. Let the nation survive. Let there be development and prosperity in WB.

HAS CAG APPROVED THE RAILWAY PROFITS DECLARED IN PAST?
by markand desai on Jan 28, 2011 07:19 PM

Railway any time made "real" profits? Has CAG approved any audited reports of "profit"?
Mamta said at the begiing to put up WHIT PAPER IN PARLIAMENT FOR ACTUAL FINANCIAL CONDITION OF RAILWAYS BUT SHE WAS NOT PERMITTED(WHO PRESURISED FOR WHAT ONLY PM KNOWS?)

SO NOW MEDIA PROPOGANDA TO TARNISH MAMTA IS WRONG

LALLU KNOWN FOR NAUTAKIS SHALL BE USED BY CONGRESS TO GAIN POLITICAL MILAGE IN WEST BENGOL ELECTIONS.

she can reduce some of the deficit by increasing the fines against defaulters (ticket less travellers).make the railway stns and trainsfree of unauthorised beggars, vendors. She can improve the neatness and security of the station by doing so.Importantly ban all kinds of agents who resort to malpractices for ticket bookings nad the staff who are hand in glove with such people

I wish MAMTA's TMC win Bengal Election and let her move out of Railway Minister post. If she continues to do like this, INDIAN RAILWAYS will be a case study in papers only.

Mamata Banerjee can do anything, she spends 50 lakh for inauguration program of a railway reservation counter, which is not more then 2 lakh project. She likes publicity, so she uses huge advertisement on television, news papers. So-called Trinomooli Intellectuals are taking huge salary from railway, they do not have any job what is this? She has no capability to improve Indian railways.

Paid news
by DevD on Jan 28, 2011 05:40 PM  | Hide replies

Another piece of 'paid news' of rediff, obviously financed by the desperate commmies who will be evisted from power in WB. Already these commie rats have sobataged a number of trains in WB and elswhere to bring her disrepute. They stop at nothing to hold on to power. The railways is doing just fine, and Mamata may not be a great businessman, but she is honest and cares for the poor, and is bringing in a number of changes and improvements, most of which have not been reported in this biased article. People across India are right now so money-crazed and drunk on greed and anger that they will easily get duped by these paid articles and vent their frustrations everywhere. Dont worry guys, once the commie parasites have been evicted from Bengal, Bengal will once again show the way to the rest of India.

Typical attitude of “mamata” lovers are..they start blaming the CPM for every criticism against mamata. The rail is bankrupt, everybody can see that, but these blind fanatics will only see the CPM faults everywhere.
Mamata promised job is rail for every land loser, is that possible? When people agitate for not getting their promised job, that is the handiwork of CPM again!!!

stop treating poverty as a sacred cow. mamta banerjee's acts are hampering the overall growth of railways.she has been highly irresponsible on her part.
i dont know exactly how bengal is performing under communists but one thing is for sure it is better off without mamata banerjee as its head.

Indian Railways ultimately in tracks
by Amitabh Mukhopadhyay on Jan 28, 2011 04:10 PM  | Hide replies

Mamta Banerjee is doing a great joj for Indian Railways. Her industrious, precise and workaholic schedules speaks volumes of her. Unneccessarily some people elements are engaged in a losing war with her. Her success is acting as an allergen and they are suffering from allergic inflictions. Her plan will yield good results within a few years.Even Congress big wigs are sabotaging her movement. She is the only Cabinet Minister who is working for the aam aadmi. If West Bengal has to prosper - she has to take over from Buddha. Then people will realise the good work done by Mamta ji as Railway minister.

Thank you, but the figures do not reflect what you claim. She is just a local politician with no idea of national requirements, who cannot think beyond Bengal. Railways needs to move into the 21st century and these Mamatas and Laloos will not be able to do it.

Hello Amitabh , You are supporter of TMC : it is O.K. But don't read rubbish. I am Agreed that She is just a local politician with no idea of national requirements, who cannot think beyond Bengal. Railways needs to move into the 21st century and MamataDi is suitable for just running a big municipal corporation. She not worked for am Admi at all. She never visited raiway office for taking decisions /sign files. She calls all officer to her Kalighat House for work & it is highly unethical & unconstitutional . Mind it.
