does it matter which theif robs your house? Its like going from one chor to another. Government is in their pocket, while common man suffers. Whats checks are there to make sure that they do as prescribed? What sureity is there that (say) Airtel will not send me a humungous last bill once I decide to switch to another operator? What action will the government take if this happens? Whom will you complain to? Will he listen to your complaint? Even if he listens, can he do something against the operator? Even if he tries, does he have the power to prove that the company is at fault?

There is something called consumer forum you know, and guess what! It works!
come on, you are talking insane. You are looking like a frustrated f00l. You want government to solve every issue that you took on yourself? they never asked you to buy a mobile! If you have so much problem with it then throw it away! Or go march on those service provides with those "hamari maange puri karo" boards! Do at least something by yourself yaar. you are not a kid anymore.
With MNP.. the poor service provider will loose customers... and he will close his shop, then what next... the good service provider will take up his infrastructure... and so on... with the same infra.. how a good service provided will give us better serice.. it is still a question... hahahahahah

i completely go witb that bcoz it lacks from basic distribution setup to service
Call drop, congestion , poor ASR are common problems with every exisiting operator in india. i dont think changing operator will really help costumers. teleco's have invested huge capital to setup MNP infrastructure so their initial focus is to attract more n more costumers to recover atleast their investment.the only positive thing for costumers is that now they will be offered more attractive tarrif plan but the service quality is more n less will remain the same.
