I do not see how reservation enters into the picture here. Corruption in India is universal and is not limited to any particular caste or group.

First they hold a Ambedkar photo and garland it. Duty over, they can do any thing. In TN it is very worse.

Tamil nadu's case is different. People will elect you to be CM if only you have a bad image, two to three wives, concubine of their favourite leader, live with some one else's wife, loot 1.75 lakh crores are the basic requirement to be a leader in TN. It is a shame that a meritorious student of forward caste has no future in TN as politicians decide on who should get medical seat and not the academicians...SHAME...

man .. cant stop laughing on your comment.. :) but decade is less.. One decade will go only in running one more scam on this, and while we see some results in second decade, probes in scam will begin.. so in actual, project will never materialize ;)

LOSS ????
by Anand sodo on Feb 28, 2011 06:33 PM  | Hide replies

Even at Dollar 100 crude costs Rs 4500 per barrel approx - or Rs.32.20 per ltr - and petrol/diesel/Koil costs approx Rs 38.00 per litre. The petro companies instead of geting a profit have to sell at a loss of Rs.2.50/Ltr. - which is approx 25.50 per litre - the central govt takes a voluptuous Rs.15.00/Litre as Excise and the state Governments take approx 25% Sales Tax which works out= 35 15 12.50= Rs.62.50 per litre!!!!!!! The centre earns Rs. 17.00(including Import duty) and the state governments earn approx 12 to 13 per litre as sales tax - while - The oil companies are going at a LOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the citizen is paying nearly double the COST!!!!!!!

what we need is a planned infrastructure to reduce our overall cost of traveling and maintenance, but the problem is we don't have time to think apart from doing scams and then decide about who all needs to be punished and not and the ................... the case goes to court and we get result after 20 years !!! and the result is all files missing no proofs set all free !!!! and till that time petrol 1000 rs a liter

They meddle the oil states to keep it all for them. Let alone they have taken all the money and let us live in peace...

When India fail to recognise strength in an emerging world they have to pay high for the misdeeds of Weak Countries for their leaks and loops...

Fuel is the key to all inflation
by Jatin Das on Feb 28, 2011 05:46 PM  | Hide replies

Since the price of petrol and diesel is on the increase every commodity which cannot be manufactured and consumed locally will increase in price. That is to say , virtually all the commodities including food.

Having known this and burnt their hands with inflation , it seems the congress stil have the audacity to let people suffer immensely and turn a deaf ear to all the pleas of the poor and the middle class.

Its high time to protest against this killer government.

You are right... instead of vote bank politics of subsidies et. al., the government could have well done away with the percent tax to place with fixed amount of tax and helped people earn their bread respectfully rather than go with a begging bowel for subsidies.... I think the days are numbered for congress in our country.
