Common man himself knows the solution to the problems and would even suggest multiple options. But who is going to listen to them, who will fund them or experiment them and who would make them? May be if it is routed through IIT, everything is taken care of.

Mr. un-united India, the rickshaw was not invented by IIT. It was an idea of a Vet Doctor, who felt for thr rickshaw-wallas. He only got it designed thru his IIT friends as per his idea. Look at the benifits it has given to the Rickshaw-wallas and appreciate the efforts of Dr, Sarma.

It doesn't really matter who invents/innovates as long as it benefits common man. If this innovation is so silly and can be innovated by school children then you should also have thought of it. Did it strike you? Come of age pal. Stop criticizing and encourage the intent. You can always crib in the coccoons of your home that hes not right shes not right...stop cribbing. If you cannot encourage atleast keep your gob shut!!!

Stop cribbing if you can't contribute. Don't say that the system doesn't allow us to innovate. There are several ppl who have innovated and come to the fore despite odds. So, you are no less deprived than them. So, try. No idea is cheap as long as it serves the humanity, the country, the environment, the world!!!
This is no innovation , no changes in mechanics .. roof cover makes it even lesser aerodynamic making it harder for rickshaw puller to pull ... these changes can be made by any lay man innovation should be praise worthy ... it is Bakwass i can give out better design if i work on it

Why didn't they use some solar energy concept to save the hard work of the person? Ofcourse it will increase cost. I am not from mechanical background but Yogi you may pls throw some light on it
the briliant iit enginneers must be given the nobel. Brahmin controlled IITs have proved that they are the greatest centers of excellence and innovation

IITs are not brahmin controlled. If you abolish the entrance exam and introduce purely caste based admissions, like the Engineering colleges, Law Colleges and Medical Colleges, you will see the quality later. There are meritorious people in IIT, instead of mentioning any caste name.
