I'm sorry for these 300 million hungry Indians.
And I'm shamed to be an Indian.

5 years back India had 700 million 60% hungry people in India. In last 5 years because of 9% GDP growth it reduced to 300 million 30% only. And in next 5 years it will become 0 million.

It is time that the second green revolution is made a reality. We need more food for our people. Govt. is not able to find time to plug the loopholes in the working of the Ministry of Agriculture. The first green revolution gave us good results. The second green revolution can bring the 300 million Indians who are starving at present within the food security zone. We need a strong political leadership in the country. Unfortunately, Congress is not able to make up its mind.

There are enough food grains for these 300 million hungry Indians.
But they do not have cash to buy.
NREGA is a good way of distributing cash to them.

food shortage
by shridhar on Mar 27, 2010 11:57 AM

actualy there is
no seed shortage
neither grain shortage
neither production volume shortage neither lack of resources
neither shortage of hardworking manpower
neither deficit in demand & supply

there is serious shortage of sinciere, dedicated and enthusiastic politcal leadership to control the and manage the situation.

thousand tons of food grains are getting spolied due to lanck management in Punjab.. same with sugar at Kandla port and so on..
