stop dreaming guys... CEO of genpect mentioned that 100000 IT/BPO jobs that had to come to India went to Philippines because of many factors. None of Indian States are as good as Philippines. So, stop dreaming because IT/BPO jobs will no longer come to India..China is almost ready with their english language and we know they are more talented than Indian IT coolie.

bbsr as an emerging state
by shashwat panda on Mar 06, 2010 10:26 AM  | Hide replies

the main advantage of bbsr as an emerging {and god willling amongst the best}it destination in india is its proximity to both the eastern hub{kolkata} and the southern states{eg andhra}

and then, there is the connecivity advantage...to all major cities
so,all i can say is bbsr has the potential, but there r roadblocks as well

infact,we should look at other states in orissa as well, with equally good opportunities,,sambalpur ,for instance,or berhampur...
progress and development shouldn't be concentrated in 1 city alone

The investment started in the 2nd and 3rd Tier Cities. But have own problem. There is connectivity with BBSWR but the frequency is also important. The available resource pool matters a lot and how many resources are willing to the location is most important.Orrisa needs to look at these figures.

Check out Technopark website - it is a govt run tech park started in 1995 and is still the only tech park in Trivandrum even in 2010. In total there are just 25000 people there in past 15 years, and it is put inside top 10 !! As many people said here it is a joke - a poor joke rather !

Also he is lying - there are no private IT SEZs in Thiruvananthapuram. There was just technopark in 1995 and just technopark in 2010.
Anyone can travel to the spot and find this out easily - it is a good holiday location nothing more.

I now got good offer from Infopark, Kochi. and least to say kochi is awsome. pity to see trivandrum in 4th spot. 15 years since its inception, it could attarct only peanuts. trivandrum has least connectivity. one will lose a day if he come for some business purpose or so from mum or delhi...once i literally took a cab to nedumbassery and flew to mumbai!!!

Mr. R K Sharma’s irritation
by Pavan Kumar on Mar 06, 2010 03:46 AM

What Mr. R K Sharma says is just words of jealousy and his impatience or inability to compete. US have more number of Gujarati’s and Punjabis than any south Indians. In UK and Canada it is Punjabi’s who dominate. None of these countries have Keralaites in large number. They are dominant only in Gulf. There are more tamilians in East Asian countries than in any western country. All those who pose about fake resumes have you heard the news that UK home office had stopped processing student’s visas from Northern India due to unlimited frauds (others in the list are Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal). Watch out BBC 8 out 10 illegal collages / fraudster institutions in London city are owned by Indians. The owners of these collages are either a Singh or Mistry or Sharma. Hence one can understand Mr. R K Sharma’s irritation on others success.

IT Industry growth
by ranjan mitra on Mar 06, 2010 12:19 AM

It is quite correct to assume that the IT Sector in India has found it's way into some identified pockets that make huge money through investment into that sector. But one must note that the Govt. of that particular state has been instrumental in bringing a change with changing times. One should understand from where all the money is coming? it is the State Govt. of that particular region that has taken care to improve the pocket talked about by investing in investible resources that are bringing huge returns. This is possible due to forsightedness of the 'Business Community' as well as the Govt. concerned. So why not churn the public money to improve an industry that goes with the modern times for gainful employment in our own state? is it a crime?

US is a country which is paying just people of four states 1. Andhra 2. Chennai(Tamil Naidu) 3. Kerala 4. Karnataka. US companies are so fool and unpatriotic that they took wealth of there entire nation to pay in pocket of these people. Go to London, Europe, Middle east, Australia, everywhere people of these 4 states are making money, rest all are poor whether indians from other states or native country people. Yes they may talk we are hard working, intelligent, educated but are others not hardworking or intelligent. Answers lies in fact that you people play tricks and have formed a global castle of regionalism where no other person is allowed to get job and is forced to starve, China should take away all Indian IT industry, what is the use if people of these 4 states are getting richer day by day, month after month, year after year

Good quotes sharma.. unfortunately, north people are just hardworkers..I agree..but not smart workers. They don't have better unity. Though you have so many good number of politicians, no one had developed north. because they don't want to develop. People are very happy with minimal thing they have.

One thing I practically see in north, they will not allow poor people to grow. Rich will never work, poor will never get their share for their hard work.

In South it is different. Every one work and allow the other person also to work and make better money.

Clear examples, In delhi, people still use cycle rickshaws and one can still get a rickshaw for even 5 Rs. On the counterpart, in south, even a small town will not have rickshaws and you can't even get a shared auto for 5 rs now a days. Every one is working hard in south.

Its practical difference and one should accept whatever it is.

So to make your society better, give chance to every one to earn.

c'mon guys! (first of all, am not from AP). Nothing is rocket science. If an AP person can create a fake resume and grab your job without knowing what you know, he probably has a vision and is trying to be atleast YOU. You, on the other hand thinks that you know everything and thinks that the opportunity should come to your door step, which does not! So, the hard work, which is mentioned every where is the - VISION !

If fake resumes earn jobs, there will be more North Indians than Andhra's in IT industry. How many people from UP and Bihar have real degrees? Its become habit to lazy and incomptent people to comment on Andhra's and other south indians fakeness. Its just a impatience that they can't compete. If any one ever made it by fake resume can only be there one day, he can't make of future out it.If you are talented and competetive no fake resume can stop you. For your inability you can't blame on others resumes. If you think you really have go and compete in the market its open and its for every one.
