When I said I want everything, a good buddy said, "You cant have everything, you can only have more of some, less of some and none of many", hahahah. Of course, we should say, "I'll see about that eh!".

Steve Jobs the Great
by Anumakonda JAGADEESH on Jun 22, 2010 12:23 AM

Jobs' history in business has contributed much to the symbolic image of the idiosyncratic, individualistic Silicon Valley entrepreneur, emphasizing the importance of design and understanding the crucial role aesthetics play in public appeal. His work driving forward the development of products that are both functional and elegant has earned him a devoted following.
Jobs is listed as either primary inventor or co-inventor in over 230 both awarded patents and patent applications related to a range from actual computer and portable devices to user interfaces (including touch-based), glass members, speakers, keyboards, power adapters, staircases, clasps, sleeves, lanyards and packages.

Jef Raskin, a former colleague, once said that Jobs "would have made an excellent king of France," alluding to Jobs' compelling and larger-than-life persona.
Jobs has always aspired to position Apple and its products at the forefront of the information technology industry by foreseeing and setting trends, at least in innovation and style. He summed up that self-concept at the end of his keynote speech at the Macworld Conference and Expo in January 2007 by quoting ice hockey legend Wayne Gretzky:
There's an old Wayne Gretzky quote that I love. 'I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been.' And we've always tried to do that at Apple. Since the very very beginning. And we always will.
—Steve Jobs

Why Narayan Murthy is greater than Steve Jobs
by Kes Som on Jun 21, 2010 10:52 AM  | Hide replies

Guys, let us list reasons why Narayan Murthy is greater than Steve Jobs. Here are a couple to set the ball rolling:

1) Murthy is greater than Jobs because Murthy created 'jobs' in India!

2) Murthy has been able to employ thousands in US. Jobs has not been able to employ a single person in India. (If I remember right, Apple tried to setup a subsidiary in Bangalore, was soon disgusted with the attitude of desi programmers and ran away).

....

Any more?

NM like all other Indian IT head honchos are like pim*s, who are only concerned with putting "resources" on the job and billing for them... Never compare them with a creative genius like Jobs or even Gates..
