Better go through the design content / notes before making such an inappropriate statement. It has neither been copied not lacks originality. People like you never appreciate others efforts and are just fit for noting!

Its 100% Original. The top line is from Hindi(letter 'Ra'- The starting letter of Rupee) and the bottom one is not to confuse with the actual Hindi letter.
Proud of our nation. India will lead the world in coming years.

India will lead the world in coming years, because?
Why dont we get out of this obsession to lead the world. instead why dont we foucs on feeding our 500 million in poverty 60 yrs after independence...and 60 yrs of garibi hatao.
We create a symbol for our currency, and now that makes us go wild with frenzy. what exactly did we achieve as a nation designing our own currency? Did we win an olympic medal dfeating other nations?
I read some comments after this design was made public, where people have written that due to this symbol our nations economy will become 'superpower economy'.
Since when did having a symbol for its economy make a nation prosperous and great.
Not pulling down the effort of Uday Kumar (his is clearly the best symbol from among the 5 finalists, no doubt about it), but we guys need to keep thing sin perspective when going ballistic with our irrational exuberance.
Common yar, lets speak the truth. We should not appreciate it just because of it is done by IITian or resembles to Hindi letter. Just try to write it by yourself and find out whether you could? Then imagine how every one and common man would write? Though I tried several times, it ends up like I write #2 and two bar on top. Its not easy to maintain that angle. It'll end-up like everyone will write in their own way and we would loose our uniqueness.

what is so difficult about writing the symbol? A line on top, a 'R' without the vertical line, and then another horizontal line below the first one. Nothing particularly hard.

Actually all designs are good. Don't think that if we cant write then it is not possible to write. As Indian we have 16 well known scripts and nobody knows all the scripts. But if we learn we can. This is also similar to that. Please respect somebody's work.

I think you are suffering from TREMOR symptom, Tremor is the involuntary trembling or shaking of the body so you cant write it properly. Please Respect the symbol of our indian currency and stop indiscreet comment's.

Hello Buddy, Instead of fighting with me, just try to write symbols like yen, doller or euro. Almost everyone could write it in similar style, but ours is difficult to maintain the similarity. Think from border perspective. Before you comment, just PLS: TRY all other symbols and get a feel of it! Its not my intention to oppose our symbol but I also love to see that all of us are able to write in similar style!

Agreed. Out of the 14 National Languages, which one are you referring to?? If you had thought we had only one national language, I suggest you go back to school (oops!! you must have learnt in school that we have only ONE national language)... feel pity for you guys...
now it has been accepted. just please accept it. thats it. its a symbol. we needed a symbol, we got it. so better use it. dont post-moretem it. it sounds ridiculous to read the criticism on that. u have better things to question in life. Look at Apple, they just wanted a symbol. why dont u question them, what is the fruit to do with computer.
