India vs. China, India’s 3D Advantage
by Loga on Jan 27, 2010 06:46 AM  | Hide replies

In the long-running discussion of India vs. China, India’s 3D Advantage Democracy, Demographics and Diversity may well prove to be decisive. And India is also No1 in BPO and Software export in the world most of the top Indian software export companies in India are Indian, Made in India.
Because India depends less on exports than China, India performed fare better during the current global slump then China. In terms of purchasing power parity, India is the fourth largest economy, after the US, China and Japan. All Made in China cheap products are made for foreign company products in china because of FDI in China. And India is also No1 in BPO and Software export in the world most of the top Indian software export companies in India are Indian, Made in India. The savings rate in India is around 37.7%, China is 35%, Compared with a savings rate around zero in the USA, and the demand is consumer driven not state driven unlike China. RBI rules are strict and banks have shown great amount of prudence, The banks are not state controlled like china, on the contrary they do not always heed RBI’s recommendations.Media in china is state control writes only that what china government wants.

Don't know about China, but India is heading towards being a failed nation and a civil war.

1) Growing poverty
2) Population increase from 21 crores in '47 to 1.2 Billion
3) Limited land and resources
4) Corrupt Governance
5) Naxalism
6) Poor education
7) Child Malnutrition
8) Less Manufacturing and export growth
9) Only service industry grows, which can fail anytime...
10) The world sees India equivalent to Pakistan... which itself is a failed nation
11) Troublesome neighbours
12) Very high inflation
13) Political parties involved in polarization based on caste and region
14) Weak goverment (on terrorism)
15) Hate sentiments : Hindu-Muslim, Marathi-Non Marathi, Caste, Hindi-Non Hindi etc...

There are so many people on the road anytime that we now look like a colony of ants or cockroatches... are we heading towards a

We are good at proving why we are a failed nation so we will prove that others are also a failure. We are good at blaming and also at blame game so we will prove how all are failures.

USA is worst - human right violater and against freedom of speech
by ishwaran shree on Jan 26, 2010 09:43 PM

Inumerable bombings on the innocent civilians, women and children in Ugoslavia,Iraq,Afganistan and now in Pakistan in the name of so called AL- Kayeda, prison camps in remote areas, keeping people in confinement without any charges and without legal aid and bombings of various news paper offices during Iraq war has truly exposed the human right fabric of the United States. Bombing schools hospitals and residential areas can never be allowed in a civil society even by the country's own forces let alone a foreign force.Nothing can be worse than that. Even now a days a bright Indian who just voiced his concern over US policy has been jailed in US on the charges of hate mail. US is enemical to every country and consider them evil if it tries to grow. Is this how a civil society run? The question is simply directed to the author of the article?

Why are we comparing India to china
by Calspadeaspade on Jan 26, 2010 09:32 PM

China is way ahead of us. India should only compete with and realise it's own potential. 70% problems will be over if our netas are corruption free and efficient. I wont blame our middle class. They are efficient mostly. If our mangement and administration do their job properly automatically our people will become efficient.

All this will come to an end
by Calspadeaspade on Jan 26, 2010 09:21 PM  | Hide replies

If America is heading south further and people and unemployment increases firther which is happening. At some point Americans will have to realise they can not ship their jobs out whether it is service or manufacturing. Initially all the blue collar jobs disappeared and the smug white collar people could'nt care less. Now their jobs are also disapearing and there is a big cry against outsourcing. Mccain lost the election partly because he openly said manufacturing jobs are not coming back to US. Once manufacturing comes back which I pray, there will be no buyers for Chinese products. Definitely this cycle is coming back.

its bad to WORSE for US. when government say NO to oursourcing, there is nothing which stops the big companies from doing so. My company, which is a very well established company in the east coast is moving out the whole and business to India. Means, ppl who had been working for last 20 years are loosing jobs.. this is the reality.. US stops H1 holders at airports, while 1000's of jobs move out from the country.. (i dont care.. make hay when the sun shines.. i am outta here ). due to the masacres US is involved in through out the mid-east is paying back.. economically and ethically !

China will never become the superpower
by R Prasad on Jan 26, 2010 09:15 PM  | Hide replies

China will never become the superpower. You need a certain character to lead the world which at this point they simply do not display. They sure can be an economiic power but not a world leader like the US.

i agree agree agree.....first no one should think China can be like the US.
secondly no Indian should think that the Indians can beat the chinese.
thirdly India has to completly over haul its mental setup and realy come up with a BRAND image. Bollywood is never capable of dong that service to India.
I dare indians to transform at least a single city to the stature of Shanghai atleast. Can we do it? never....!

will play a different game with Pakistan like states unlike the US. Probably Pakistan will revisit the 12th century Mongol invasion like situtation if they fell out with the hegemonic China - which is inevitable due to cultural and/or other reasons.
