Diesel

Govt to allow only commercial vehicles to be using diesel as long as it gets subsidy at the cost of petrol, please note it is the income tax paying public that is supporting subsidiary on diesel, when is the govt going to wake up, is it this govt or the other party next govt. Stop all non-commercial diesel vehicles on Maharashtra's road or ask them to pay 10times the road tax and additional diesel luxury tax to ensure parity in petrol and diesel costs see how the fiscal deficit comes down. you have the option to do something concrete or keep crying.

You are reading small portion of a huge chapter.

After independence indian govt adopted soclialist govt ( price control on everything, govt is bigboss, PLANNING COMMISSION) copied from soviet union.

Sovient union went down because of there planning commission screwed up everything resulted in disintegration. we are also on the same road.

Markets should decide the prices. Govt should be as small as possible so as to cut unwanted govt expenditure...... Govt role shold be only to deliver governance...not playing the role of realestate agent.

Maharashtra defecit.
by kailashchandra bohra on Dec 10, 2010 01:10 PM

Maharashtra and Punjab are the richest in a way that per capita inccome is the highest. But their thinkint(planning) seems to be at the bottom of all the states includind Bihar/Rajasthan(being considered BIMARUstates). They all became westernised, where the money is always less. They are enjoing the fruits of prosperity but mentally they are the poorest. They want only revenue without any input, may it be in the form of free electricity, in the form of copensation for whatsoever absurd reasons. Once upon a time, the Rajasthani Politicians were much crazy about the political famine. Just declair famine for partcular region along with the area where actual famine is also there. Such DEFICIT mentality will take the State down in finances and destroy the work culture, what so ever remained so far.

Absolute figures are misleading. Also publish their percentage to GDP. That is how sensible people talk of fiscal deficit....

Question to everyone
by Bharatiyan on Dec 10, 2010 11:40 AM

IF the fiscal deficit is about 20000Cr then what is total accumalated public debt ??

How much money is going for interest payments ??

Govt is selling is everything(water, highways etc) to avoid borrowing.. but sooner or later everything will be soldout they what they will sell ???

Listen to the 10min speech of Robert Welch in 1958 at Jhon Birch society. You will understand everything is happening by design not by accident or mismanagement.

SIX MUMBAIS CAN BE BUILT WITHIN THANE RAIGAD
by rohansen on Dec 10, 2010 10:38 AM

From Borivali to Dahanu, Thane to Karjat, Kasara and Panvel to Chowk and Pen about 6 Mumbais can be built. There is ample rain water which can be harvested. Only problem is to construct about 100 km of new roads and bridges. In Mumbai water in not metered and slum dwellers can not buy water even if they can afford. That spreads all kinds of diseases. Water should be metered and sold to all like electricity. If this much is done astronomical prices of real estate will crash. The unholy nexus will break. Some messiah is needed for the hapless residents of the megapolis. On a lighter note mathematically whole population of India can be accommodated within the triangle of Mumbai-Pune-Nasik with 225 sft carpet per family though that is not warranted at all.
