The Govt should not interfere in the pricing. They should just allow more competition. If the Airlines want to charge high, they will find out the hard way that their business will start going down. Then they will have no choice but to come down with the fares. Till then it will surely be advantage Railways.
Meanwhile, the Govt should also ensure that the Cartel between various Airlines is broken.
These people want to loot the public. Let them charge exhorbitantly. Will see who'll travel. As it is, the traffic has gone down drastically on certain routes. Believe you me, I've seen one side fare of INR 85,000 for 2 Adults and 1 child just before diwali from Mumbai to Lucknow on the so called low cost carriers. These guys are now acting like Auto wallahs of Delhi. They are charging what they feel like. Needless to say, our honourable ministers are getting their share and are getting richer with every passing day. God save ourcountry from these greedy people.
Airlines have gone totally mad. If the proposed increase is implemented it will be used only by Politicians as they will be flying at the expense of the Public. We must tell them to pay from their pocket and let us see how many of them fly.It is better we allow the airlines to increase the fares, which will mae them loose the customers and close the airlines ultimately.
Are these companies want to do business or not in India.. who will fly if they will increase fare to 40 K for Bangalore to Delhi... It is better to go Singapore or Malaysia for vacation as the airlines are charging only 5k for that fare...
I wish the govt approves it and lets see who flies in these airlines. They should suffer for their deeds and lose business and then they will know the power of customers. The country is heading in the wrong direction very fast. We have seen what the so called "super economies" suffered recently because of their greed and somehow it happend after decades for them. Herein India, the hospitality industry, the airline, tourism, education, real estate etc has turned out to be scams where the politicians misuse their power and abuse the citizens. The dooms day is not too far.

Firstly, you should not be abusing since you are certainly not the MD of an airline. Secondly, even if you want to, go learn from English. Else, abuse in a diff language. Dont become a joke on the forum.
At the exorbitant rates being quoted by differ- ent airlines, before long, they would be without any customers, having lost their trust altogether. It is time for Railways to rev up extra capacity quickly and rake in all the revenue that would otherwise have gone to the airlines. Consumers should show zero mercy to the airlines people for indulging in this ruthless day light robbery.

True. A increase in the Duronto's and trains like the Shatabdi will teach these guys a lesson.
Now congress knows that they can loot in billions and put one sardar infront saying Mr. Clean and escape with the loot. So they are preparing for the big loot by increasing the fares.
