Satyam failure: Time for introspection for people from Andhra
by Jai Hind on May 23, 2009 04:45 AM  | Hide replies

There have been numerous cases of fake resumes and fake degrees from AP in IT sector over last 10 years. Satyam's ex CEO is just one of exmaple of poor ethics. Media and good people from Andhra Pradesh should reinforce the need for good ethics. Satyam's good employees are victims at the end. Sad.

oh! u think u are 100% perfect and net done anything wrong. do u think there r no people from other states have committed frauds in IT & other sectors? Pity on u, these days blaming people on their region, religion , etc ... becomes fashion.Your comment on AP seems that you r not enough matured. Grow up my dear. How do u feel when a foreigner blames Indians in this issue?. you seems to be non Indian. If u r an Indian, instead of blaming people try to avoid committing mistakes and creating problems to others in your life.

bench means...when employees do not have project/work they sit idle...which is known as bench strength. Many cos manage atleast a 10% bench strength so that any new project coming up, they have people to work. In slowdown this strength always increases.

dont get carried away by the ephoria.
fundamentals have not changed overnight just because of election results.

IN HOUSING TOO, THERE IS NO DEMAND SO PRICES HAVE TO CRASH. DONT GET FRIGTHENED INTO BUYING AT HIGH PRICES BECAUSE THE BROKERS AND BUILDERS WILL TRY TO SCARE YOU.

DOWNWARD CORRECTION OF 30% HAS TO TAKE PLACE.

ALSO STAY AWAY FROM REALTY STOCKS

Lay offs have become inevitable now a days but more in IT sector. People should curb their spending, pay their debts, increase their savings and invest cautiously. Many people have invested in real estate during boom time at high prices during sudden hipe without knowing the real price. Now many people are suffering to pay the EMIs. Now they cant even sell their properties below cost price nor able to pay EMIs. Only realtors squeezed the hard earned money of these people. New Entrants should learn these lessons from their seniors and donot fall frey to realtors or any other similar Ppl.

HCL is worst IT company in India
by AMITABH on May 19, 2009 12:51 PM  | Hide replies

Please know that all heads of IT companies are the same. They will only keep you till you earn for him. They will use you and then kick you below your belt. What they all say is only for media and the media shamelessly laps it up as it is paid money. HCL is one such example. There is nothing called employee first which they claim. They are unethically sacking people by calling them and making them sign the resignation there and then. This is happening in HCL Tech SAP unit. Anybody can confirm. And they are promising 2 months salary in lieu of the notice period of 2 months and are giving only 2 months basic. So an employee stands to loose at least 35K to 40K minimum. And if you say I will work for 2 months as per notice period they will very sweetly say 'No you can sit at home and search for a job and we will give you 2 months salary. They will never use the word BASIC salary. So an employee will think he will get 2 months complete salary but will be fooled when he receives his settlement.Every one should know the true colors of HCL.Horrible culture and horrible HR. And this is all called EMPLOYEE FIRST.

I also agree with you.
HCL Noida is some how better. ( am not talking about the HR stuff, They are always same.) HCL Bangalore is the worst I ever seen in my life. A person who works always working and a person never works, will always enjoying. No hikes :( even if you work as "oustanding employee".

Alas!
All filth acumulaated for the past 5 years have started opening up. That too so early after the elections. With elections over no political move of closing the lid to contain the 5 years stench from flowing out. perhaps the stench and filth has started pushing itself out of pressure. So all "slumdogs" you can expect a lot of satyams to come out heronwards.
