Hold on guys. When I searched the net, all the news about this are pointing to originate from rediff. There cant be smoke without fir, I accept. But it can be only rediff is able to make this news and no other reporters are able to confirm them. Some sites have also made this news a spam and fltering it. Dont get emotional before things unveils.
after Raju's scandal, who has came front to take over satyam??? during that time, whats the situation of 40K employeess? there is the doubt to pay for monthly salary .. now they have saved 70% employees of 40K by announcing lay offs. i am not telling that Tech mahindra done a good job, during this recession it is fair enough to give salary to other employess.But is not charity company to retain all employees, its run for business.

* N R Narayana Murthy accumulated $1.9 billion till date due to Wage Slavery of Infosys employees. * Premji accumulated $14 billion (source Wikipedia). * How much did they invest in agriculture sector where 80% Indians are living? * Govt must mandate these people to directly INVEST 35% of their INCOME in Agriculture sector.
And if N employees voluntarily cut off their salaries by 50% they can prevent N/2 lay offs.

This issue is not about the Agriculture or Computers what politicions trying to convence people for Votes. The matter is for the Youngsters (who are performing and NonPerformaing) what about their job security. While Selecting the employee for the company, Company has invested their best HR person to choose the appropriate resource and if they are removing them all, the money and time spend on selection goes waste. Also regardig the Techinical sector we have to think about the Exchange Rate of Rupees(RS) verses Dollar which has increased or stable during past years this is only possiable by Technical jobs because our economy is suffering from lots of problem of Agriculture sector and Market for those products though we are the largest Consumer Country. After all the issues is related not to only one company but the future of the people who suffer from Layoff. Not only this if this people joined in the small companyes with less pay scale what about the Education sector promises for the freshers and how the new job will be open for the yearly graduates and Post Graduates?

Why should they invest in agriculture ? Would you like to invest your assets in a poor performing area, where 75% chances are that u will loose the money ?Common man. They are business man who have have done so much for making profits, and which has directly converted life's of so many people.Ask its employees, who have normally come from a poor/middle class backgrounds, and now changed their family's fortunes. Why should they cut the salary of it's emplyees instead of firing? Do you mean that they should cut salary of deserving candidates to retain the non-performing candidates ? And if in doing so, they loose performing candidates, can they continue their business with a bunch of non-performing candidates ? Don't talk like a fool man.Do something urself before commening on those who has done so much for employement in India.

Instead of blaiming each other we all need fight together. This is not the case that the, " Electricity is gone OFF in my neighbour house why should worry? but we need to think the next will be the yourself" ALL IT AND HR PEOLPE NEED TO FIGHT TOGETHER and NEW GOVERNMENT SHOULD ANSWER IT and TAKLE IT else We demand REELECTION for BOLD Government...

Very Very strange. Why should It and other Hr jokers fight the govt. The govt never said anybody to layoff. It is these failing business in software who are firing people. To be fair to our govt it has extenede all the possible support to IT by giving them tax holidays and exclusive export zones etc etc. These very beneficiaries of governmental sops have made money in tons and abused the govt staff for in effectiveness etc. Now they are sinking and want to blame the govt. The day is not far orr when they will blame the govt for less rainfall also. Pls get your bearings right.
