Thease are fraud people who want to tarnish software engineer's name .. Software engineers never need to do such tricks to ger a H1B since they are highly sought after and they add value to US economy .. The proof is that software engineers from india are all over the world , US , JApan , Korea , Singapore , Middle east , EU , canada ... There are engineers from other field like mechanical or civil and other trades people doing such cheap tricks just to go to america .. The government should be strict and identify such people and put them behind bars ......... If these people go to US and make money , after coming back to india they will bost like ' i don't have that much education and see , i wet to US and made money as much as an IT guy ' .. It is our responsibility that such fraud will not happen which will seriously damage the image of indian's in IT industry working in US
The H1B visa scheme has led to enormous frauds, exploitation of skilled workers and underpayment. In spite of this, we Indians are beggars and hundreds still want to go to US by this route. The Media says that India is booming and becoming a Superpower- why then do these people still want to go to the West
Re: H1B Visa fraud

Exploring is natural. Some prefer to be big fish in Small pond, some prefer to be small fish to be in big pond. There is nothing called begging . H1B visa is just a immigration tool Many countrys have Work visa they mgith have differnt names. Some americans work in Ind on work visa too. Many Amreicans work in middle east on work visa of those countries. SO its called EXPLORING. and belive me or now its an adventure. Like all adventures it does have risk associate with it. India surely booming. Media is wrong if they are saying anything abt Superpower. Indian ppl are very emotional. So its very easy to create mountain of mole and vice versa.Even todays so called Superpower also has many dents. Superpower is just a word of last century. This century its Global Power. And if one nation wants to be Global power it definately needs other nations along with it. Superpower sounds more isolated term ..thing of last century....

The answer is in your question... The media says India is becoming a superpower. The common man thinks that is bull crap. So these people go to the west...
I had thought India was a couple of generations behind US but after seeing US, I have realized that India will NEVER catch up...

He can give his views and is welcome to do so. But the language. That reveals the character and let him not advice others about bashans.
Remember India was the only country looted so badly and where religion is exploited even today.
Rana gave his views. Just read and forget. Thats how it has to be.

Yes, also look at Korea today. They were nothing in 1947. Even Thailand & Malaysia have surged miles ahead in terms of development & quality of life. Whereas in India 0.1% of population gobble up 90% of taxpayers' money. Unless the whole system is overhauled we will be like this only.

Conquering India militarily is out of the question. India is too mighty a power to be taken lightly.
So the next best way is to subvert it by creating a cadre of people who are totally alienated from their native roots. People who draw their inspiration from a foreign religion. Who draw sustenance from an alien culture. People who look down upon their Indian ancestry, Indian heritage. People who despise their hiindu past.
When huge sections of the population are thus converted, national interests take a backseat. The converted population draws inspiration from their overseas mentors. This in turn, enables their handlers abroad to rule the country by proxy, exploit its assets and enrich their own countries, coffers and populations.
Huge resources are being pumped into India by the western powers to achieve this end. The Tehelka Weekly in its February 2004 issue has published a detailed investigative report about this conspiracy. The report has identified the sources from where the funds are sent, the fifth columnists working in this country, the strategy of this war like conspiracy against India.
It is shameful, but true that this international conspiracy against India is succeeding. According to The Tehelka report, around 5000 Indians are getting converted to Christianity every day. The North east of the country is almost Christianised. An Italian Roman Catholic, Antonia Maino, a.k.a Sonia Gandhi, is running the country by proxy through a weak kneed hiinduus

Absolutely right. The status of the poor people is being misused. In AP alone, thousands of hindus are being converted daily. God Save India. The money pumped for Missionary activities and Madarassas is more than the FDI every year. But due to vote bank politics, nobody is interested in these things. Just check the number of churches come up in AP in last 10 years it's nearly 1 lakh.
There were many such visa scams in the 90s when the US had even blacklisted certain Indian cities and universities as far as I understand.
It is obvious that such scams exist because the attraction to go to US is too high.
We Indians have to think why this happens why cant we get all that the US has to offer here ?
Why are our cities filled with slums and garbage ? Why do we have so much corruption ? Why do we have so much pollution and destruction of environment ?
And finally why our leaders and people cannot build a clean , green beautiful country called India and why are we looking at other countries like US for good life ???
Forget talking about such scams people will try anything for a good life which this country has not been able to offer as yet.
Far greater frauds exist in Russian,Mexican,Chinese migration to US.

IN America as you go out of NYC , small towns and little metros actually GET BETTER and prettier with schools and all facilities all around.
WHILE in india as you move away from delhi you get
1. Dirties cities 2. Pathetic local citizens who dump all around 3. Even more pathetic police 4. Local GOONDAS. 5. Narrow minded casteist people.
Just tell me which city in india is livable for HUMANS, not herds of animals packed together living in FILTH.
Re: Re: What is this article about ?

Therefore, we should resort to empty bhashans and blogs. Any attempt to do anything worthwhile (by sheer hard work & enterprise) is futile in India because the system doesn't allow you to do so. Hard work does pay, in few isolated locations & companies. Generally, in India, it is very difficult to get things done smoothly.

why not experienced indian techies stay at home make startups with innovative products and market them to the western countries.why always depend on h1b visas .isit lack of self confidence.
Re: techies

because the indian system stifles innovation, looks down upon risk-takers, and suffers from unnecessary govt interference.
Re: techies

Opportunities sir... India lacks it. You should understand the bureaucracy here. With small amount of money, but huge ideas, I am next to nowhere. So I had also planned to immigrate to US, work and learn there and then return to India to contribute back. Recession spoilt my ideas anyways. Indians (most of them) understand free lunch. We dont like to take risk. But its not the same in other countries (especially the developed nations). As an old saying goes, its always easy to tell, difficult to follow. Narayan Murthy or Premji had right opportunity. These days even with excellent ideas (ideas are exhausting everyday in this world of IT), its not as easy as you think.

Of course...opportunities galore abroad and they value your contributions and hard work. . To set up a business and run it successfully in India, nothing works without bribing. Right from your consultant to your own accountant to auditor, everyone make a big hole in your pocket in the name of 'out-of-pocket expenses', taking bribes from you in the name of others as well for themselves. Can you imagine how frustrating it is? Even if you want to be clean and law abiding citizen, we are not allowed to be one. That does not mean other countries it does not exist. Even if it exists it does not affect a common man or small time business man who would like to have a peaceful life. You get a more developed infrastructure, non-intrusive self disciplined people in those countries for your contributions to their exchequers whereas here it is all gobbled up by the corrupt system. Would you like to be part of a shining galaxy or like to get sucked into a black hole???
Re: Re: techies
by chintan jhunjhunwala on Mar 13, 2009 12:40 PM
what about the black hole created by the financial meltdown and all the cooked books and the skeletons tumbling out of the cupboards.those ceos fattening themselves with million dollar perks at the expense of the hard earned money of their customers.is that ethical.it is a mirage to say there is no money for innovation or start ups or ther are no opportunities in india. think you are blinded by the west and think they are all doing business ethically which everyone knows is far from the truth.
Re: Re: Re: techies
by m m on Mar 13, 2009 01:13 PM
"cooked books and the skeletons tumbling out of the cupboards" are there every where! Look at the recent high profile scam that is on the news highlights of media everyday. I did not say that 'there is no money for innovation for start ups or there are no opportunities in india'. I was talking only about the governance system and the cronies working around it, that sucks your hard earned money for no fault of yours even when you want to be a clean and law abiding citizen. You need not be blind to accept the West but surely yes to accept these so called ethics in our country that you are vouching for!
come on guys USA cant stand on its own manpower,in a very short period things are going to be normal and easier for all the qualified techies, US will soon realise the importance of allowing atleast indians to work in their country, Americans can never beat indian workers @ any category,
