Hey frns it's a very good initiative taken by us....500-1000 Rs u getting access to net it's amazing...but few beleive that 2 gb space is far less...then for those ppl there's Asus netbook which is very compact.n stylish ...n d best part its pretty affordable......so nw choice is urs!!!stop blaming others 4 their gr8 initiatives

The posting is probably what you mean by "a nice joke" Comment on the article and not on your perceptions! As per the article the specs are "The laptop has 2 GB onboard memory with wireless Internet connectivity. To make it useful for the students, especially in the rural areas, the scientists have made it low power consuming gadget." If you call this as pendrive! Revisit the meaning of pendrive.
I think we can make common mans laptop for cheap. It just need a processor and little memory . You can boot any OS from USB at least some flavour of linx ( Lots available for free flavour ) . An way I prefer to give credit to our people for atleats thinking about common man. So hats off to them those who are related to this $10 Laptop. I wish them sucess
