Its great to have the cheapest laptop developed in India. Its commercial success is another question but it is for sure that Indians can imagine and do what no other country people can.Even a rickshaw puller in Bihar carries a mobile and keeps in touch! Technology alone cannot support people but certainly it will make life easier and development faster.Congrats to all the people behind the wonderful gadget!

Oh Yeah??!! Even the Maruti car was promised to cost Rs. 8,000/- when it was announced. By the time it was launched, eight thousand rupees did not even buy a scooter. True, Indians can say what nobody in the world can. When it comes to delivering the goods, look at the history of Maruti.

This is a stupid gimmick. Another hoax like "Simputer". This device has no display, no keyboard and needs to be connected to a PC/laptop for working. has anybody seen its photo, specifications.

It is difficult to believe it. Even a Memory chip/card of 1GB cost Rs.300/-and who knows what this low cost laptop of Rs.500 to Rs.1000/- will have , that too with 2GB. It is incredible. As somebody said there may not be a screen and normal keyboard and what is the use if it is to connected to a PC or other Mother board computer. This is just to fool the crowd of India. Anyway welcome for this low cost. Let us wait and see. Stephen Dias, Goa
As it is we are going to cream the world auto industry with Nano coming on roads by March, and now USD10-USD20/- we will be able to take over the major players in the computer industry. Its amazing, wonder why we can't get into mobile techonology and compete with China.

that's the problem with the way we Indians think. if this was announced by someone from American university then everybody wud have praised it but since it is from Indian organization we first criticize it no matter if it is good or bad. Add to it the ever jealous neighbours who cant think good and it becomes a bashing stage for all
