This is a just routine work, not an innovative discovery.

First Human Genome project took several years and it was truly awesome and innovative.
Present piece of work is a just routine work follow up of old discovery but sampling in
different place.
Techniques and methods were all known and used here for routine analysis by 9 weeks.
It is not an innovative discovery, and definitely not "Laagan".
SKB is known as a piece of garbage within the scientific community.

Projecting himself as Bhuvan of Laagan SBK deserves Nobel Prize.
Bhuvan had not been recognized in History that shown in
Laagan.
But SKB has spread himself in the electronic media,
so should not be lost from the history.

If a scientist from Andhra was in the team, please verify that he did not cheat and get vital information from a fellow Andhra scientist in the American team.

These andhra people have embarrassed rest of Indians enough.

the human genome project isnt yet complete, as there's a lot of work left on the telomeres and centromeres, the current technology being insufficient for successful resolution and cataloging of the same.

do you have any particular valid reason , other than trolling to disclaim the findings of these bunch of scientists ?

why do we need a new element here. that we'll be saving a ton of money by not having to pay a royal royalty to western companies is itself good enough. its like rockets - we dont have to pay 2-3 times as much to send our satellites through araine.

To understand, why Samanta and others are rubbishing these big talks, u shd be part of the scientific community. They could reproduce something alright but that doesnt deserve this kind of self adulation by SKB. Its easy for anyone in the scientific community to know his worth from the quality of his publications.

the better way of research
by salim das on Dec 22, 2009 05:17 AM  | Hide replies

The better way of research is not re-discovering things people have already done, but discovering things that no one has ever done.

why should one be dependent on an expensive research base ? why not do it ourselves at a fraction of that cost ?

Then what to do people cannot share their research! You cannot jump to 2 without going through 1.
