Vote for a change
by lax yopr on Apr 13, 2009 08:53 PM

Tell me, in which country in the world, do people shit on the road-side, and yet call it a 'Global' city...

Why is India really in the dumps?

Have we got so used to this filthy lifestyle that we dont mind it at all??

Dont we feel that we deserve something better, in this globalised world?

Even in other 3rd world countries, like China, Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan etc, ppl DONT shit on road sides, the roads are better & corruption lot less.

Is it coz we are poor, or have a huge population?? The answer is a BIG 'NO'. Its because our politicians suck bigtime. Its because we as voters, dont vote for the right people, and after voting, we dont ask questions.

Why cant the citizens just ask for a CHANGE? Believe me, if voters ask for a change, then it WILL happen. Politicians will have to give us CHANGE... all we need to do is ASK?

I am very much proud to be Indian as you are.
Please Vote for India. Also Please educate and motivate your parents, friends and relatives to vote.
Please vote for the best candidate irrespective of Caste,Creed, region, religion, fraudulent propoganda etc.
Some of us, have the feeling that if I vote for the best candidate and he is any way going to lose, why vote for him.
Please, please .. we should not do this mistake again.
Please vote for the right candidate no matter he wins or not. Once you vote for right candidate, the self satisfaction you get is unbelievable and outstanding.
Sometimes I feel,Media is the biggest culprit to put you in dilemma by deciding themselves this candidate is going to win.
No. We are the decision makers.

when there are CRIMINAL cases pending against Advani in Pakistan.

Am I drunk? retorts Shivraj Patil

New Delhi, Sept 16: "Main daaru peeke baitha hoon? (Am I drunk and whiling away my time). This was how Home Minister Shivraj Patil reacted to questions on media criticism of him, especially his change of three sets of clothes on the night of Delhi blasts on Saturday.

"Main so gaya, main patte khel raha hoon, main daru peeke baitha hoon, main dance club jaata hoon toh aap mujhe dosh dijiye (Blame me if I am sleeping (on the job), playing cards, drinking and whiling away time and frequenting dance clubs)," he told a news channel.

The reporter showed him a combination photo of the three different suits he wore on that evening and wanted to know his reply to his criticism on that.

A visibly upset Home Minister said he was distressed at the level of debate that they were now discussing his dress. "After 13 hours of work if I take bath and change dress, is it a crime?" he said.

To a question that he was "not on the job" for four hours that evening, Patil said "he was not an inspector to sit in a police station all the time."

Go on ... Rape Mumbai
by lax yopr on Apr 13, 2009 08:39 PM  | Hide replies

Mumbai has been converted into a huge slum. More than 50% of its population lives in slums with no access to sanitation. Early morning, you will see everyone lined up on roadside delivering their stuff. Its totally disgusting.

The roads suck... full of potholes.
Traffic speed is around 10 miles/hour.. compared to 50miles/hr in developed countries.

Drainage system is centuries old, and overloaded.

Buses/trains are overcrowded.. ppl travel on train roof-tops, hang by their fingers.

Now we have terrorism too.

Iam proud to be a Mumbaikar, but feel sorry to see politicians trash this once-beautiful city, especially politicians like Raj Thackerey, Bal Thackerey, Congress etc, have messed up big-time.
I feel BJP we ought to give an opportunity to BJP. Lets see what they do...

Congress rule of 56 yrs has turned India into a Slumdog nation, and now they have adopted its song... what a shame!!!

Whatever government at the center - It SHOULD have absolute majority. Vote for either Congress or BJP. Don't vote for any other party. Only a party with absolute majority can bring about change and development in the state. As long as BJP is at the helm of affairs, there will be fewer conflicts as conversions due to misinformation, inducement and intimidation is usually kept under check.

Tuth behind IC814 hijack
by SONU on Apr 13, 2009 08:37 PM  | Hide replies

The Indian Airlines flight IC 814 was hijacked on Christmas eve, 1999

Rupin Katyal was stabbed and killed by the kidnappers, making his wife, Rachna, a widow barely before the henna on her palms had dried. There were highly emotional scenes when the plane, which carried the body of a Rupin Katyal, killed by hijackers, touched down at the IGI Airport.

By noon on December 25, orchestrated protests outside the Prime Minister’s residence began, with women beating their chests and tearing their clothes. The crowd swelled by the hour as the day progressed. There was a steady clamour that the Government should pay any price to bring the hostages back home, safe and sound. This continued till December 30.

“We want our relatives back. What difference does it make to us what you have to give the hijackers?” a man shouted. “We don’t care if you have to give away Kashmir,” a woman screamed and others took up the refrain, chanting: “Kashmir de do, kuchh bhi de do, hamare logon ko ghar wapas lao.” Another woman sobbed, “Mera beta… hai mera beta…” and made a great show of fainting of grief.

The media made out that the overwhelming majority of Indians were with the relatives of the hostages and shared their view that no price was too big to secure the hostages’ freedom. The Congress kept on slyly insisting, “We are with the Government and will support whatever it does for a resolution of the crisis and to ensure the safety of the hostages
