mannu cant face the ppl of ind. he can only address rallies of media but not that of public. he has no guts to face electoral system so hiding behind rajya sabha. nowhere, such a weak pm can b seen in the world.
looks like Rediff has decided to be biased...everything MMS says is 'noble words' for rediff and it has to put it in headlines. there are 5 headlines on what MMS thinks...

I mean he promised to convert Mumbai into Shanghai 5 years back... then his speech writers pointed out to him it was time to go back and face the people .. and offered him a brand new script about "global city"...
And he read that sitting in front of his Madam's photo....
He will do this only if he becomes PM again. And he will perform vanishing trick like was done by Chiddu for the desalination plan for the Chennai. Political convenience at it's best.
All Bombay wallas want is "Make us like Shanghai, New York" and let us decide the rest of the fate of India. They have ram sena and shiv sena to push all the rest of the Indians out. Wake up rest of India. Byecott anything that comes from Bombay. When you spend even a single ruppee, ask, what is in there for my state if I spend this rupee. If there is nothing, don't spend.

I'll support your idea as long as Communism takes over with an agenda to root out caste system and regionalism. But opposition leader advani wants hindi, hindu, hindustan. So the hell with him. Dr. MMS and Sonia Maino is the best team for India at this time
These Delhi sockers are depleting aamchi Mumbai resources from ages to polish their golden aars from a long time...Mumbai is going to the dogs, but the politicians coffers are going huge... Give Mumbai its due, its time.

MMS said the same thing some years back and mumbai has not progressed on any of its problems from then, leave alone having an infrastrucuture like shanghai,singapore or .... These are all day dreams being shown by politicians to mumbaikars for the last 60 yrs to gather votes.
Decentralisation from big cities and all round development of atleast 50 cities (focussed on underdeveloped states like Bihar,UP,Bengal,Orissa,Assam,...) throughout india is the only solution. Repeating the same mistake of focussing on few big cities with no significant results for the last 60 oyrs is problematic.
Mumbai has lost its significance and though it needs better infrastructure for its long suffering citizens the development should be decentralised in medium sized and small citiies for better overall results.

Bombay has got more than enough at the cost of rest of India. What are your resources, stupid movies, which collect millions from all over the world and is reinvested in Bombay. I'll be damned if I spend a paisa on a Bombay movie. Actually I hate them so much, I get irritated if they are on TV free.

It could just be your age MMS but you said Mumbai will be made like Shanghai in 2006 and you also inagurated the mumbai metro.... mumbai is not shanghai and actually has gone backwards (look around slumdog) and the mumbai metro is a big joke!!!

He is not obligated to prosper just one little part like Bombay. Bombay has had enough at the cost of rest of India. We don't need Shanghai, we need homogeneous development all over India and that is what Dr. MMS and Sonia Maino are tring to do. "Sqeaky wheel gets the oil" policy should stop.
Why Bombay at the cost of rest of India? I already feel I am being ruled by Marathas after British left. Development should be homogeous. There is big deal is saying "We got Bombay as other countries have New York, Tokyo, London etc. And what is this non-sense about ram sena and shiv sena. They should crushed as soon as possible. Hey India...Wake up. Don't let mahara..become another England at the cost for us.
