PRIVATISE RAILWAY and earn 1,25,000 crore per annum
by sanjay kumar on Feb 26, 2008 02:24 PM

Let railway be privatised. With money already invested in railway the GOI will earn 1,25,000 crore as rent and public will get more amenities at cheaper rate. It happened in telecommunication it can happen in rail transport. Lalu and his men are un-necessarily beating the 'DRUM' before all those pass holding parliamentarians.

Change In Lalu's Rails
by Das on Feb 26, 2008 02:18 PM

We have seen Following improvement in Rails compared to Last 5 Yrs.
1. A bit more Clean Train and station.
2. Food availability in Many Station.
3. Better Compartment and Sitting.
4. Better Catering System.
5. Lesser Travelling time.
6. Better Ticketing system.
7. More Connectivity with diff city and Village.

Now I think we need to still Imporve this System One more Level. And also he should be consider the safety in the railways.

Railway Budget

I don't think that this a best budget. He has informed that the cleanliness will be given to Professional agencies. I don't think that it will make a grand sucess untill the agencies at monitored properlily. What is ment by giving more discount. Instead of giving this the TTE may be appointed more for watching ticket less travel Especially at Bihar where no one know about buying tickets.

No specific relief to NCR Region
by deepak sharma on Feb 26, 2008 02:16 PM  | Hide replies

The railway minister has failed to deal with menace of heavy ruch in trains plying in NCR region specially from mathura to New Delhi. These trains are always full of passengers and no sitting space is availble. There is nothing in budget for comman man except for woman which is is good.

indirect price hike
by sudharson ramanujam on Feb 26, 2008 02:15 PM  | Hide replies

I woud like to share some points which i heared from TTR, the government indirectly hike the ticket price by increasing the Takal ticket count, previously the number of tickets alloted to Takal is only one coach, now it is increased to 40%, so railway get additional Takal charge for this 40% of tickets and the ticket which are booked through Takal are not cancelablw show indirectly they are earning a lot.

Let the Indian Railway earn more if the tickets taken by you in Tatkal and later not travelled by you... If you are not sure that you are going to travel or not take in well advance and cancel if you dont want to. Only when Indian Railway earns, you and me get a slash in the rates of train tickets. Looks like you didnt like Indian Railway earning a surplus of 68k crores for the last 4 years..!

i dont see any reason here which shud trouble u .. rather now we are more confident of getting the ticket thru tatkal during an urgency == if railways earn money out of it -- no probs

lalu anti-kannda
by narayan on Feb 26, 2008 02:13 PM  | Hide replies

lalu who bcame a shame for union govt and all patriotic indians by calling all kannadigas as 'DIRT' is again letting down kannadigas and karnataka by not allowing wagon manufacturing factory in karnataka(he gave it to palakkad in kerala) and also by not giving the required new division which was to b at mangalore by dividing palakkad division...it seems that lalu had been influenced by the COMMIE lobby of kerala to cheat karnataka people

Hope that was an early response. There is a Coach factory at Palghat, 4 new trains for Kerala and extention of 2 trains to Kerala. Also pls note that the slashing down of ticket rates is for the entire nation, not only for TN and Bihar..
