large layouts are empty in mysore - only investments - star of mysore a daily eveninger in mysore, reported that there are around 70000 sites unoccupied.....these are only muda sites. private layouts are a dime a dozen. around 30 kms around mysore is fully occupied and invested by black money guys and investors.
take care before u visualize another 10 times jump and invest ur precious money.

rightly said whatever investments happened only keeping in view of 10 fold increase in price not for their living real estate mafias are behind such articles trying to sell off their holdings by putting such articles.If you meet anyone whos living closely in this area and talk about this hot spot and all they will laugh at you.

mysore is a sleepy town, and there's no boom happening, the charm of mysore is its tourism potential. instead of developing that they want it to be another IT hotspot. thats okay - but there are other cities which have better potential namely hubli, mangalore, belgaum with plenty of colleges close by to feed them with engineers, fresh recruits. for depth and specialised work there's always bangalore. every politician somehow likes bangalore. though there's potential in mysore, its only on paper.
