Mysore development
by Krishnareddy Satti on Sep 24, 2007 11:11 AM  | Hide replies

It is nice to see that Karnataka government is developing Mysore as a destination for Hitech companies next to Bangalore. AP govt should develop Vizag in similar way. Hyderabad roads are already congested. This helps reduce stress on the capital city. Satyam and Wipro are already have their presence in Vizag. Infosys and other majors should consider setting up campuses there.

its good to see finally mysore is also being developed . I have gone there many times , and was wondering why is this city so calm.

Let people from all over the indian empire come here and folk it , but the industry should not just be limited to IT , I wish it should be an all round development.

Yes we need lots of malls , esp it should be taken care that malls are attached to offices so taht we can do some tp during lunch breaks or when we getting bored on the net.

I suggest we should preserve the old heritage buildings and make them much approachable to the general public.

some points to ponder on before we get on to the bandwagon of development.

1. Water supply should be maintained at the same speed as the city develops , it should not just depend on KRS

2. The whole city should get WiMax services, may be Nokia should be invited to set up their pilot services here and get rid of cellular technology

3. There should be enough park and recreational areas which are public and they should be better than those managed privately

4. It may not be connected by 6 lane road and highspeed trains to bangalore the already doomed city

5. The airport should have a good ATC tower and good runway dont have to make it ultramodern , it should just serve purpose to land a A380 if required

6. It should be well connected by Trains fro accross Indian Empire

7. The city should well connected by roads to the nearby outing spots like , chickamangalur , mangalore , coorg , mahabalipuram

Arre yedes, look at the big picuture. Why cant we Indians see India as one big flat with the states as the different rooms of the same flat. Let people from different states spread out in different states and put their tent there. Then only we will have great unity amongst this great country. Do not be narrow minded like the Thackerays - "sons of the soil". BULLSHIT !!! All Indians are sons of the soil. Nobody is from Pakistan. Narrow-minded morons.

very true dude!!!!
bangalore is no longer wat it was before because of the huge influx from outside,,and now its Mysore's colonisation on the horizon.I guess more than the localites of Mysore , its outsiders who are more interested in building Mysore as they can make huge dough from it.

Mysore citizen's ---- buckle up for the worse cultural transformation.
