We Indians are very quick in turning anything decent in to stinking urinals, given our greed and shoddy attitude to anything ethical. Now it looks like Mysore is targetted-perhaps one of the few royal cities of erstwhile India where certain amount of relaxed lifestyle exists which alone has kept the city to remain a dream town. Now with so many developers moving in and their greed being utmost the city is bound to turn in to another living hell. Please will some one step in and stop this rampant destruction of this beautiful city-from Yeshwanth Pai frm Bangalore
I was in myhsore last 66 years. if you invested amount thinking mysore will develop it is your foolishness. there is no place in mysore develop except hebbal area. all the lands are cultivable lands so there is no scope to devolope myhsore as in bangalore.. who will sell the agricultural land which is giving food to all over karnataka. if so given it is blood will shed.

I think Mr.Nagraj is a Big fool by himself let him come to mysore and see the development activities and compare to 66 yrs before and let him get me a site in kuvempunagar for a cheap price as he describes as fools
My dad's from Mysore and I was born and brought up in blr.I am currently overseas and felt very proud to read an article abt Mysore.I didn't have any complaints abt blr being "changed" as some people call it...i would say blr "developed".The IT companies have provided employment to lot of people and improved the infrastructure, people all over the world look up to us as rich in culture and knowledge. It was heart breaking to read some of the discussions here I would just suggest for people to have a broader view n open mind.Of course the govt also should put in efforts to plan things in a way that the rich culture prevails and the city is developed too."Planing" is the key. Now,just b'coz i mentioned overseas pls don't start off the discussion blaming the NRI's.I'm not an NRI.I would like to end here by saying I'm proud to be from Mysore-Bangalore but before that I'm proud to be an Indian.

jay krishnan..thats not your real name..i have seen your messages in all places..everywhere you spew hatred towards others and you are trying to create rifts between us. i don't think you are Indian too..or atleast seek the betterment of our country. please keep your sadistic nature outside where it belongs.
Some realities abt Mysore (me being a local): 1. Mysoreans are pretty laid back. Takes time for them to get up and start walking (forget running). 2. There is lot of hype abt IT firms moving thre. Infy has a training cenre, not much of real IT work going on, as I know. 3. There is a rumour that Cognizant has brought land on Hunsur Road (after Yalawala). Not sure abt this. 4. RE brokers are pushing the hype for a quick buck. 5. Some of the Bangalore based builders have opened office in Mysore in anticipation of a boom. 6. Local MP Vijay Shankar, is pushing for more development and businesses for Mysore. 7. Mysore airport is to be upgraded, dont know when it will happen. Blore-Mysore high speed train is on the talk. Hope it happens, not just the talk. The NICE project (6 lane hwy) is almost stopped, thanks to the caste politics in the govt.
Note that there is lot of irrigated areas around Mysore. There is potential for development on west and south sides.
the current traffic mess and steep increase in real estate is only due to software industries. Due to greed and lust for making quick money, government threw all norms in to the wind and facilated illegal construction. Before the invasion of software, Bangalore was really a pensioners paradise and the city was very calm and people were quite contented. Not only software but for the migration of north indians to Bangalore due to fearful living conditions in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Gujarat, WB, etc., the demand for dwelling was more than the available capacity which tempted the people to sell away their lands for a fortune by making way for Apartment culture in Bangalore. Since the city's growth has reached the saturation, now, they have shifted their base to Mysore which is only a two hours drive and which is yet again centre point to travel to Tamilnadu and Kerala. If the government body have sense and value for this great city, let them allow the city to grow to its capacity and provide the basic infrastructure and not greed enough to sell of the Mysore Palace and allow construction of apartments in Chamundi Hills.

balasubra, i smell u r a tamilian.What r u doing in blore ? and why r u complaining when u people have ruined blore most than others
This is only an indirect way of advertising for investors to invest money in the land in Mysore. Buyers please be prudent enough to buy land. Do not pay money like software guys & do not make the price to rise high.
