Real estate boom is a fabricated phenomena!!
by new media on Sep 22, 2007 04:54 PM

Like any other city where Real Estate boom has been projected by vested interests, in Mysore also some fools will buy properties fro exhorbitant price. Example in Bangalore I purchased a property in Bangalore in a particular area. Even yesterdays Times of India reported booming tendency of real estae prices. But the fact is that many means people in thousands. Just go to any residential area in Bangalore you will see hundrreds of "FOR SALE" boards. Boom is only on paper. Fact is that there are no takers for thousands of flats/houses. Artificial boom is there but only to benefit the Real Estate mafia. Mysore also same thing is happening.

Mysore the land of glory.
by zainul abedin sayed on Sep 22, 2007 04:42 PM  | Hide replies

My Dear Mysorians,
Please do not allow the land sharks, politicians,
the govt officers to grab land for real estate. this beautifull town will soon be converted into a concrete jungle and destroy the natural beauty of Mysore. What Mysore needs is well planned and organised IT sector, without harming the Kannada culture, traditions, forests, flora and fauna, open spaces and social security.look at the Bangalore city its one of the highly polluted, unplanned cities. The influx of unwanted
north Indians and Kashmiries are adding to its woes.Drinking water problem, electricity problem, security ptroblem, all problems every where. And you have hardly any Kannadigas left in this city. The same will definitely happen to
a beaty like Mysore.Beware !!!!

Dear Zainul, i may please be excused to write this piece which I am saying with pain but true. Most of the agents and touts in all government departments right from the Water Supply, Corporation, PWD, RTO, Sales Tax, Sub Registrar, Railways, Passport, etc., you name it, most of the middlemen are only Muslims. If you people are reformed and act rightly, then law can be enforced rightly for the benefit of one and all.

we can't just blame the muslims alone. The selfishness and greedyness of Indian people is beyond a level. That's the sad truth.

I will illustrate an instance. Now many of you who see my posts here know that I am no sucker for Westerners. But hear this. Years ago in US, many americans who used to interact with these Indian convinience store owners couldn't believe the extent these guys would go to cheat others and hoard money. Some of them who were shocked by this behaviour of Indians used to confide in me often and ask me ' this greedy ? why ? How can people be so greedy ?" That was 10 years ago. It was beyond them and trust me it's still beyond me.

kashmiris dont allow non kashmirirs to buy in kashmir and its written in article 370 of the jihad helper indian constitution.

so kanadigas hv right to refuse people to buy land.

till article is not abolished and india is not united
as 1 country everyone can hv right to do as they please.

if kashmiri muslims can refuse land sale in kashmir so also kanadas can do it.

My first care is only for my mother and then only to others. Nothing wrong in it. When you have love to your language nothing wrong to boast of my mother tongue. Kannadigas are the only one who are adaptable to any conditions and respect every individual and move with one and all and do not recognise only Kannadigas. You should feel happy we are not asking for a seperate law and rule from the government only for Kannadigas. Understand.

you are right, at last there is some one else also who has realised this assasination of "locality". if they are that broad minded about the country, then the police should go to hell with their "watch the neighbourhood "schemes. They (people like sharadbbbb ) understand the term "country" only when it comes to cricket and to their earning potential, look at the way they earn money in the it sector, as managers , exploiting the other non managers.

Why do you Kannadagis so jealous of anybody who is earning money, has anybody stopped you from being in IT sector and earn money. Such sort of mentality of dividing the people into Regions, religions, sex and anything in the world that is possible will lead to downfall of everybody. When any idiot says that its because of IT that land prices have gone up then I pity on them, you dont realise idiots how many people earn livelihood because of IT industry. Kannada & Tamil people should look at Hyderabad and Telugu people who are far better than them.

Kannadigas are truly not jelous of anyones earnings but not at his cost. There is no derth in any field for Kannadigas. The saddest part is that, none of the politicians from the state at the Centre has done a little bit to his State. This cult of language fanatism basically started from North and then in Tamil Nadu, followed by Andhra, Kerala and then only in Karnataka. When you say be a Roman while you are In Rome, nothing wrong in Be a Kannadiga while you are in Karnataka.

Mysore - Nice place to stay in.
by Sathwick Mahadeva on Sep 22, 2007 04:29 PM

Mysore has a long way to go to replicate the success of bangalore as far as bieng an IT hub is concerned. But I agree that Mysore has a great potential in the future. Most of the land around mysore has been already bought with an investment perspective and i do not see it appreciate as it appreciated before. It has already stabilised. But if you want to avoid bangalore traffic i would say mysore is a nice place to settle ...
