In the name of SEZ the goverment is taking away land from the farmers and giving it cheap to these punjiwadis.SEZ is just a 'Special Exploitation Zone'. All those SEZ lovers have never in their life ever lost their land and their livelihood in the name of development or some goverment policies.We have faced it during Boodhan Movement and also during the Indira Gandhis land for labourers movement. Exploitation of Natives and the Environment in the name of developement should no be allowed. U City Folks have u ever lost ur house or ur means of livelihood.Let it happen then u will know why are the farmers and natives opposing SEZ wheather in Nadigram or closer home in Raigad or more closer in Gorai

stopping everything done by previous goverment, this has been the history of UP, thats y the satate is left behind in the developement race. Mulayam stops the Taj-Expressway Project because it was intiated by Mayawati, now Mayawati stops the Reliance Power Project / SEZ because it was intiated by Mulayam... nice game.. tit for tat.. UP's masses have been suffering this since so long, why dont they appriciate these good Projects n cooperate to let them finish early, irrespective of who started them. anyway All d best UP ians !!
People are ready to invest money and resources but these selfish politician mess it all.Need to think of future.Rel plant will generate so much employement directly and indirectly.There will people coming to job from other part of the countery.They will bring the money.They will require place to stay,food to eat,they will spent money on variors things.in turn the local people will only gain and nothing to lose.and the farmer whose land will be lost huge compensation and job guarantee shouls be given.In turn what madam mayawati has done is scrap the project.how can UP or country grow with such attitute.

poverty removal is blasphemy to our netas. bcas what will they fight for? who will constitute vote banks? only the poor. so poverty removal will drive them up the wall. specially the loony left, regional parties etc
Quite natural because she has got no money from Reliance . All the bribes were grabbed by her bete noire Mualayam . Unless she makes this noise how can she extort money from Anil Ambani . Very soon she will be paid by Anil her pound of flesh and will never want scrapping of Reliance's SEZ.

NO wonder people from Bihar and UP move to Mumbai and Delhi and other states for livelihood. and when the SEZs are planned in states like UP for benefit of employment for locals, Politicians like Mayawati are doing dirty politics to stall the SEZs. Hope she doesnt come up with Ambedkar SEZs in every district as she cant move beyond Ambedkar

Don't act like a 'chamcha' of Reliance.They want to invest in U.P. which is a good move but it does not mean that they will not follow the rules and regulations. It is not that U.P. is a state renowned for its transparency and free from corruption but industrialists should not also take opportunity out of it.

Dear Amit, do you know how Reliance has gone so forward? It is through bribing the politicians. Now it has started Retail business which is killing daily wages of millions of Indian peoples. Whatever Reliance is doing is just to fill their own pockets. Have ever heard that Reliance has done something for charity for upliftment of Poor peoples ? Mayawati has done the right Job by scrapping the deal. Have you ever had a thought how much Reliance have paid to Mulayam and Amar Singh ? They are getting richer n richer looting common peoples. And it is me or you (common people of India) is suffering because of these companies. Hats off to MAYAWATI FOR SUCH A BOLD STEP!! NOBODY HAS EVER DARE IN INDIA TO AGAINST BIG BUSINESS OTHER THAN MAYAWATI. She has a guts, before writing anything pls go through the recent economy statistics of Indian poverty, Mortality rate & Life Index on WHO website. And please compare with other countries.

Dear Ramrao, I agree with the facts and figures you mentioned about Reliance. I will also take it on face value that Reliance has done nothing to the poor. But tell me one thing, hasn't Reliance been also responsible for providing jobs to thousands of people in form of their Mobility services, Reliace Fresh, etc? I cant agree that India's mortality or poverty is worse than African nations like Nigeria, Uganda, Bosnia, Sudan, etc?

Mr ramroa , what will mayawati's policy of ruling in the name of Mr.Babasaheb Ambedkar do to the state.will it change the econmic statistic of the UP.Pls come forward with justifications rather than just talking.
