When you go u will find the fact. This is a fact that your color of the skin makes you superior rather than your hard work..irrespective of religion,Which means even if you are a christian or muslim.Due to Indians dark color thay are suffering in Europe and America...Remember the words "DONT BELIEVE AN ENGLISH MAN IN THE DARKNESS".I really dont understand why christianity among english teaches racial discrimination. Is int it quite "slow poisoning"???

Hi Manosha, In other words, u r supporting the behaviour of Neelima's white colleagues in question, by raising alleging Christians as racials. In every religion, there are majority good and minotity bad elements. It's bad to generalize to entire community. By the way I am not a Christian.

It seems hard to belive that corporates can encourage racism, but ff what neelima faces is true then india support groups in USA must support.
BTW, Christianity is not only amongst whites, but also browns and blacks alike, so lets not drag any religion into such incidents, like our infamous politicians love doing back home to start riots

Veerapuram - concerning the nuke deal, i think we stand to benefit more than the U.S..
Manosha A - Color of the skin does to some extent effect you. But did you know there are laws here that require companies to have the same ratio of minorities in their workforce, eg : if 20% of all engineers are black women, then 20 % of the engineers in the company have to be black women. In California, they have lowered the SAT, GMAT score for blacks and hispanics, to help them get into good schools. Now though it helps out minorities it forces companies to employ crap schools to admit dirt. If your not smart enough to achieve the score, you should know you need to stick being a janitor. Sorry for digressing, but my point is that minorities have a lot of protection here, you need to be savvy and know your work well. People don't get together well in India, even though we sound, look and dress alike. How can you expect the same here! And linking christanity to racism shows that you are dirt, Hinduism has a wealth of wisdom, but we still discriminated people based on their profession, for generations, how absurd is that?

its sad to know the plight of our brothers and sisters in US...i think our PM shud take note of such racial discriminations and bring it to notice of his dear friend Mr. Bush...first he shud try to protect our indians there and then think of nuclear deals....Mr. PM , i think its an early warning of the dangers that we might face from US...

It is high time Indians in USA got together and show the white immigrants the plain truth. USA does not belong to them either. Their anscestors were plain thieves who stole the land from the natives.
I am surprised that INDIANS IN USA are keeping quiet. WAKE UP!!!

Some questions to Answers.
Why Neelima's US Indian colleagues and US Indian community not supporting her?.
Why his company Sacked her
Why is lost the case?.
Is she has attitude problem?.
Conclusion is don't blame anyone until you don't know the true picture.

When Racism is rampant in India .. why accuse Americans.. only..?
by on May 26, 2007 08:46 AM  | Hide replies

Racism is rampant in India.. In Bombay, tamilians are called Madarasis, Kaalis etc.. In Kerala, if you are from another state, you can be screwed by ayone anywhere. The locals will never support you. In Tamilnadu, they look down at anyone who cannot understand tamil or english.. In Mumbai, they atre worried about teh people from UP and Bihar..
We don;t give a shit to our problems. But when it happens elsewhere we have the attitude of "Holier than thou" As usual we are always hypocrites.. Atleast the Americans and Britons accept racism exist in their society and there are laws to curb them.. They retrospect themselves.

None here..

Agreed with yoa view. but there's a subtle yet improtant difference. If a southie lives in North,he may b called a madrasi, a northi would defenitely b called a northi in south of india.. but thats not racism, thats the common identifiers. Y whould one get hurt for being called that he's a desi or an Indian or brownskinned? unless its used in an abusive way. You guys gave pretty useless examples here.

Also, I remember a scene being shown on TV last year. Students from Bihar/UP getting down from Train were broom beaten by by elite ladies of Mumbai. Why blame Americans, when all the same logic applies to our very own 'Apna Bharat Mahan'.

pretty much true. when i was in bangalore. i was tagged northy. and when happened to visit chennai. when i asked about directions on road, educated people replied in tamil when asked in english. issue is that in india. we take things as - chalta hai casual attitude. but when we go out, we quickly tab it as - racism. wake up indians. check ourselves if we are doing justice to our brothers and sisters on our own home soil.
