IF INDIA HAS TO BECOME SUPERPOWER, MUMBAI HAS TO BE UPLIFTED TO THAT POSITION OF A SUPERPOWERDOM. STILL, THE PEOPLE LIVING IN MUMBAI, WITH THEIR LIMITED OR LARGE INCOME, AN OWN HOUSE OR RENTED HOUSE, COOK FOR THEMSELVES, WILL NOT FIND IT TOO EXPENSIVE. MAY BE STAYING IN A HOTEL WILL MAKE THE EXPENSIVE CITIES OF THE WORLD, WHICH THE GOVERNMENT HAS TO LOOK AT IT, AND REDUCE THE LUXURY TAX ETC.ETC. OTHERWISE, MUMBAI IS A PLACE, THE POOREST OF THE POOR AND RICHEST OF RICH STAYS HAPPILY. PRATAPAN NK

Who says people are happy in Mumbai . you might be referring to the few Politicians , builders and influential people . Rest seem to be just trying to survive with such crumbling infrastructure ,.....
What is the critaria of thse lists of expensive and cheap apartments!! in Wellington NZ, a relatively decent three bed room apartment costa about two to three thousand NZ dollars, depending on the location( approximately 50 thousand to 90 thousand Indian rupees)while a four bed room house in DLF Gurgaon, India phase 4 fetches 15 to 20 thousand rupees according to our experience!

Gurgaon is a nightmare - you can rent a 4 bedroom house in DLF Gurgaon for 20,000 PM, but with no power for 8 hours a day, no water, living in a constant state of terror of robbers, broken roads,no nearby shopping, mosquitoes and allied diseases, perpetual traffic jams, 10 times more expensive services like electricians, plumbers, a/c mechanics as compared to Delhi, difficult and exhorbitant medical emergency services et al.
A more realistic rental is Rs. 50,000 PM in a high rise apartment for a 3 bedroom flat.
So, beware before relocating to Gurgaon! It is a nightmare!
