Bengaluru, Kochi, Vizag and Chennai best
by Vasantgopal on May 23, 2007 05:53 AM  | Hide replies

Atleast Bengaluru is not controlled by land mafias, Dawoods, Ketan Parekhs, Telgi and Thackerey-Senas! The weather is still the closest to comfortable in Urban India. Beer capital and the only city with 21st century attitude. 15 million crammed into narrow roads and 6 boggies of local train is not what is called infrastructure! If investors want infrastructure they will go to Shanghai. And to top it you cheap, slum-dwelling Mumbaikars will always blame your shitty place on North Indians!
Of all the real estate bubbles in India only Chennai and B'lore will not burst since these are genuine price rises- others are mafia or neta controlled!

what bengaluru is not controlled by anybody. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
they have the most affected by all the groupism, thadaism and everything. they will not let any non kannada movie to run, they will tolerate the other language people especially tamils. they cannot tolerate others growth. let me clear the other stands for the minority group head who is misleading the general public karnataka who really are nice people. dont say bengaluru is not controlled by any body.

I was born and broughtup in Mumbai. I am now in Bangalore since the past three years. Each city has its good and bad points. It people like you or me who make it bad or good - Who are already here or move here and stay here. May be the climate is getting worse the infrastructure is not upto the mark etc etc. But thats the price we have to pay in the initial years of development and expansion. I love Mumbai and I have lots of friends there. But Bangalore also is good in its own way. Try adding your bit to make it better. Be happy wherever you are. You are here for a reason - maybe your own or someone ele's. Make the best of it and enjoy instead of cribbing.

Boss whats wrong with Bombay ? Its a symbole of India. Everybody can get a chance to live there from Low to High. Ofcourse the problems are in every city. I am a South Indian, but feel unsafe in Chennai. Do TN auto rickshaw guys give safety ? The same thing is in Mumbai. In Bangalore, the CITY sleeps by 10PM. Do you get proper transportation after 10PM ? Just goto Hyd, can you give any guarantee that you are buying a TRUE site ? The same in Mumbai too. The reasons might be 100, but its all India and everywhere it is same. Bangalore, Chennai are no exception.
I am sorry, but in every city has its own problems. You have to be careful and live happily. Don't try to throw meaningless NORTH, SOUTH...its INDIA. Lets be together.

boss dont start abusing south indian cities. i am from north india and hence i have experienced both . infrastructure is much better in the south, places more cleaner. just take the example of Lalbagh express which runs between chennai and bangalore..very clean and always on time..now take any of the north indian intercity trains like the one between pune and mumbai..its just horrible.

There should be some logic man. The ranks are bullshit. USA places are too cheap than in India ? or the Indian cities are not considered at all ? For ex. 3LDK can be rented in Bangalore for Rs.10K I think. In Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas you can get it on less than $250. Wow...?
I am damn sure that if 3LDK cost 30,000Rs in Mumbai it will be more costlier in Osaka(Japan), Australia. Again it depends the survey took the Central mumbai price and a Village price in Australia or other countries.

EXPENSIVE DOES NOT MATTER
by samudra blr on May 23, 2007 05:19 AM  | Hide replies

WHAT REALLY MATTERS IS WHO PROVIDES BETTER CIVIC FACILITIES.FOR CITIES IN INDIA THERE ARE MAJOR DRAWBACKS.
1.LACK OF PROPER RAIL NETWORK IN CITIES LIKE HYDERABAD,BANGALORE ETC
2.OVER CROWDED TRAINS IN MUMBAI,CALCUTTA.
3.POOR CIVIC FACILITIES IN BANGALORE,CHENNAI FOR GARBAGE DISPOSAL.
4.INCREASED POLLUTION IN CITIES LIKE DELHI,BANGALORE,AHMEDABAD.
5.DEPENDENCY ON PRIVATE TRANSPORT HAS INCREASED
THE RISK OF CHOKING TRAFFIC.AUTHORITIES ARE STILL TRYING TO IMPROVE ROADS,WHICH WILL NEVER END.THE REAL FACILITY NEEDED FOR EVERYONE IS RELIABLE PUBLIC TRANSPORT TO CUT DOWN POLLUTION.
6.LACK OF ABUNDANT DRINKING WATER IN MOST OFINDIAN CITIES.THERE ARE NO PROPER WATER PROJECTS PLANNED BUT HOUSING PROJECTS ARE COMING UP SENSELESSLY.

Good point. I read, heard in Web, media that our India is growing...Its true. But the facilities are not. Ohh GOD please give a hint to Indian politicians, to take immediate actions to bring METRO/LOCAL train network in Bangalore, Pune which will solve pollution, traffic, timely travel problems.

RE:How can we make Mumbai in to Shanghai?
by on May 23, 2007 03:29 AM
your so ignorant sukhvinder singh. what do muslims have to do with anything of a developing country. it's the people in general that have to do with it. you cant blame a muslims or hindus or christians. A person might be a muslim or hindu or christian, whats more imp is to look at that person , not what faith/religsion he/she follows. get out of that thinking to make a world a better place to live with peace.

Blame the politicians not our fellow citizens. don't u people ever stop talking about religions. actually i hate religion based separation. i think religion is just a personal choice, nothing more to talk about it. So don't talk like this.

I am neither a muslim nor am i trying to make islam look ok. I am just trying to justify and reinforce my belief that it is only because of people like you that our country is lagging behind. I think of people like you as uneducated who have nothing better to do in life but point fingers at other communities instead of looking at your ownself. Unlike you am not gonna use abusive language, because only insecure, uneducated and low class people like you voice their opinions by using abusive language. By the way I am a staunch hindu myself and belive in showing respect and tolerance towards all religions because thats what Hinduism teaches.
