As the saying goes, frog who never jumps out of pond always feels the pond is the world.Wish our guys who feel mumbai is best airport should visit Schipol airport holland , Charles De Gualle Paris or Heathrow to know -what a airport must look like . Mumbai airport is utter rubbish compared to the other airports in the world.

I've been to Charles De Gaulle. CDG looks good, but the staff sucks. They are lazier than Indian government employees, if that were ever possible. If you really want to compare airports, look the other way - S'pore, Malaysia, China etc have amazing airports, perhaps better than the ones you listed.
Sahar Airport looks crappy, but I've never been hassled there. Cant say the same about CDJ. (BTW, they do it to everyone, including fellow french ppl)

I have traveled to about 15 airports in India - big, small and in between. The cleanest and best maintained airport in India : Cochin. Also, the most professional staff I have seen at an airport. I determined this based on 4 separate trips over 6 years. Why 6 years, because most Indian airports deteriorate rapidly after a few month s of the inaugration ceremony. Well done Cochin!
The worst : Bombay. The whole place stinks like urine, or napthalene balls - depends on which corner of the airport you are. Add to that, some of the rudest airport staff you can find anywhere!
I think u should ask this question after 2010. RIght now in India Airports and flights are still a joke. May be after we get Hyderabad and Bangalore international Airports, we can think of best airports.
I think Delhi International airport is better than Bombay airport. I had a bad experience several times in Bombay aiport, In Immegration itslef, customs officer and his assistant asks like this, 1.how many days you stayed in abroad?. 2.How much money you saved?] 3.How much dollar/Euros you have in your pocket? 4.How much chocolates box you are carrying? After this hassels, they will takeout some chocolates boxes, if you have electronics items, they will pick some of them and ask dollar/Euros instead of them ok, fine, after coming out of immegration, you will be attacked with forien exchange agents. its ok for us, but for foriegn delegates they will harass and this will happen infront of police. I dont know, how Bombay airport is best?
i think right now Bombay aipotis the best but hyderabad internital airport is yet to release in this year sources says that its go na be teh biggest and most sofesticated airopt in india so bombay has to do something to match this...
As far as I remember, the name CIA holds good for both the International and the Domestic Airports in Mumbai. The Domestic Airport is called CIA - TERMINAL B. This has caused a big confusion in me the first time I boarded a domestic flight from Mumbai. I went to the International Airport, then got clarified, came back to the TERMINAL B (Domestic Airport) to board the flight.
With this confusion, and the award goes to........... Domestic or International?
Mumbai's International Airport is not really great, but bigger. The interiors does not look different from any other Delhi or Chennai airports. I could say the new Domestic Terminal in Mumbai is better by all means than any other Airports in India. The interiors are good. You feel that you are entering an airport which is of high standards.
The competition of "BEST" Airport in India is.......... mumble......
I don't understand these crazy surveys. Eventually, they want us to choose a devil bigger or lesser. Are they coming up with a survey for the best Indian International airplane? If it wasn't for Vayudoot's fate, AI wins that, even if the pilot's cockpit cabin has crack, or tier's burst. AI is known for warm and motherly treatment. Warm, as ACs don't work. Motherly, for the air-hostesses like grandmothers with stolen wigs. he he
Cochin International Airport Limited is the best & cleanest in the country at the moment. In addition to accessibility, it also has adequate space available for better and bigger infrastructure growth.
