We're top in IT??
by Sumej on Jul 01, 2006 04:50 PM

Let's just stop talking that we're on top in IT industry. A lot of Global companies coming to India does not mean we have reached the top spot. Its true that India is a better destination for man power, thanks to its pool of brilliant techs. We now have companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS etc, good, but they all depend on US companies. As long as we do not have companies that depends only on end customers, we cant say we are on top.

Typical arrogance/ complacency
by Manoj on Jul 01, 2006 04:01 PM

the statment that it will take the chinese more than 20 years to reach india's level smacks of arrogance/ complacency, traits that will harm India.
The Chinese are an extremely enterprising bunch of people-- shrewd and hardworking and they are capable of achieving what they set their sights on. You only have to look at China -- Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai (to name just a few), to know that they are atleast 30-40 years ahead of us in overall development; there is no reason why they shouldn't do well in IT as well. Problem with India is arrogance, a readiness to cut corners (and thereby disregard for quality) and disregard for customer service & customer satisfaction. If we don't pay attention to these, we'll be left talking about how our people and their brains are great... but work will get done elsewhere by somebody else.

Fantastic Work!
by R. K. Mohanty on Jul 01, 2006 02:51 PM

you have done a fantastic work! the article is really wonderful, dealing with all the relevant points and data. your english _expression/language is also superb. I did not have a chance earlier to know your capabilities in expressing yourself on any topic. I am really happy to see you bloom so nicely. Experience makes a man. It is very rightly true. Best wishes and congratulations.
