Inspiring story
by Chicago Male on Nov 15, 2013 09:57 AM

Definitely good to see such inspiring story. Kudos to Nithya and her Family to stick with their dreams and weather hard times.

My personal experience with Mumbai Doctors is that most of them are crooks who will not fail to extort money out of you whenever there is a opportunity. I have seen this both on private Dr visits and big hospitals like Kokila Ben and Hira Nandani.

May be it was just isolated incidences but they were so many it made me skeptical about the whole profession. Not to mention we all read about the NRI's case in Kolkatta hospital where his wife was given an unnecessary dose of antibiotics and how he had a charter a plane from Kolkatta to Mumbai and in the end lose his wife too.

Certainly cases like this definitely make you fell good both about the profession and other fellow good common people.

Sacrifices in medical profession
by vasudha saralaya on Nov 15, 2013 09:44 AM  | Hide replies

This is not an isolated case. Any doctor who is a PG in a clinical stream goes through the same rigmarole. This article looks like a free publicity to the lady.

So again
by yamunaflow on Nov 14, 2013 10:04 PM

What is the motive behind promoting Nithya Iyer ? Naturally readers would want to know.

Every vocation has it's sacrifices.

I head a computer software firm and I haven't had a quiet meal with family in years.

And all the embedded system software to medical equipment, we define.

here, it is not about whether Iyer is better or yamuna is ..

The question is .. HAS INDIAN WEB MEDIA DEGRADED INTO A DIGUSTING TRASH ? That is the question.

HARD WORK OF MEDICOS
by Aravind mutgi on Oct 14, 2013 09:27 AM

Dear Divya..Your hard work & sacrifice in the life will definately be repaid by the almighty..only thing - u have to be something spl,outstanding,creative..at this crucial hrs Govt need to support medical profession...unfortunately which is not possible in our country....See the rural service clause...how a girl can afford to serve in a remote village where all of us know what type of situation prevails...(infrastructure wise & politically. Now a days docs r harressed by the public for no fault of theirs. In some cases negligience of docs is also there where they have to be punished, but not in all cases, hence u have to be very bold & face the world with your ability in this noble profession.Pl do not forget the ethics of medical science...Best wishes
