You want your son to be inspired to be a female doctor?!

You are truly a "modern" father!

You don't understand. It is not a girl or a boy question.

These days it is considered fashionable among "modern" parents to encourage their kids to have gender reassignment surgeries!

Talent Waste
by Sandy C on Oct 08, 2013 01:18 AM

There are n number of talented students who just get wasted due to lack of medical colleges in India, due to heavy competition or lack of donation...if all are given equal opportunities Indian may become a hub for Doctors for the world. Currently in India only, there are not even 10% doctors available for the entire population that too maximum are running abroad

Its Nice to come across Such Inspirational Real Life Stories Which not only Motivate Us But also make us Think that there are people who are slogging it out Against all odds & Not running after easy Money. Its again the apathy of the System that we have such shortage of Doctors, Yet the Govt Doesnot care to Increase the Seats Nor Does it care to Open New Medical Colleges
Because that would Deprive the Pvt Colleges of Their Business. We have Potential & Aspiring Candidates But No Seats To Churn out Doctors ??
Keep It Up Doctor Nithya !!

It was always like this. However in the past there were no reservations or reservatiosn were bare minimal and only the brightest students got in. It has to be kept bare minimal so that only the best can get in. What is needed is to remove reservations. Let the brightest get in and provide all facilities to the socially backward so that they can compete with the best. The govt should subsidize education for those who come from financially poor background.
