I agree with Mr Sriram that social change comes from involvement of everybody in the system but in this country there is no value of life of ordinary citizen forget about the change he can bring.Like a rich man can bring and afford a big change by way of donating money in comparison to poor man. Any ordinary citizen who wants to bring change or defy the system is brought to his knees and his life made hell. So those in power like you have much control and authority to bring about a social change.Tell me what should a ordinary citizen do when he is asked for a bribe at every stage to survive in our country and nobody is there to hear his plight.Change always comes from top to bottom not the other way around.A case in the point is unofficialy everybody knows that black money is paid in every real state deal but our lawmakers and lawkkeepers are not aware of it. For a change Mr Sriram can make public his number for filing of complaints when he gets his first posting.I agree that we citizens are also responsible for corruption. Plz tell me how I am to be blamed for the broken road and poor infrastructure facilities despite me paying all the required taxes to Govt and what can I do to change that.
LET THE IAS OFFICER DESIGNATE NOT BE COMPLACENT AND WITHDRAW HIMSELF UNDER THE EXCUSE THAT CORRUPTION CANNOT BE ELIMINATED IN A DAY. THE DISEASE HAS TAKEN THIS FORM BECAUSE EACH ONE OF US SHUNNING AWAY FROM THE ISSUE OR DILUTING OUR OWN SELF COMMITTMENT TO BE HONEST. CONVICTION IS THE TOOL. OUR BHARATH IS LOOKING UPON THE YOUNG PEOPLE WITH HONESTY, HARDWORK AND VISION NOT BOTHERING ABOUT RIDICULE BY PERSONS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GAME.

By passing an IAS exam one does not become an intellectual knowing solutuns for very thing immediately! In fact check the assets of so many Babus after 1947, you might be surprised to see that they may have minted or looted more money than even our polticians! In fact if one were to confiscare the assets of panchayat prisdents, mls, mps of ruling parties in states and cntres and unaccounted assets of babus after 1947, we could be an economic super power richer than USA&europe combined folks! But since w ehave such a ritten elction&voting systems since 1947, we continue to produced crooked polticians and leaders andlooters and we will continue to be Banana repulic unless we reofrm the rottene elction&voting systesm, But does eben patriots&real intellectuals CARE????NOOOOOOOOOOOO!shame|!

communalism is on account of moral bankruptcy & moral corruption. It is one form of corruption.
we tend to speak of financial corruption, moral corruption leads to communalism.
if we are forthright and uphold human values then this narrow defintion of moral corruption ( i.e communalism) will also leave.
communalism is on account of SELFISHNESS. Corruption is also on account of SELFISHNESS.
When we replace I with we. both will diminish. The bonding and togtherness is lessening and moral human values are diminishing leading to CORRUPTION.
A day will come when a question will be asked "WHAT is the VALUE for these VALUES ?" that is moral corruption leading to communalism and financial corruption.
The country spends lacs in producing a doctors. When doctors become IAS officers it is a waste. They can serve society better as doctors. Dr. Sriram should be aware of the cruel fate of Dr. Gautam Goswami the IAS officer of Bihar who was implicated in a scam where he was forced to cooperate with corrupt polititians. Incidently Dr. Goswami was a postgraduate in medicine from the prestigeous BHU Medical College from where he topped the MBBS.
