Yeah, good, but look at it this way

So you write SSC one time, get 80%. Not happy.
You write again, get 88%. You are a bit more familiar with the exam and pattern now.
you write once again, and get 94%. You are getting better and better at tackling the 'EXAM'.

Then you write your last time (no more allowed), and get 96%. Expected I guess. Thanks to the chance of there being no one in there better than you in this chance, you get FIRST RANK.

All of a sudden you are a big hero.

Sure, the lady did work hard and was driven enough, but her lackluster performance in this clerical exam (after all this is no big IQ test, just an exam you mug up some stuff and regurgitate, sorry) makes is much less than someone who worked hard and got it right the first time.

And this does not make her a 'leader' or efficient administrator. That's yet to be seen.

Why so negative? This person has gone through the selection process which has many steps and has succeeded. So what if it was not her first attempt. I am stunned by the negativity of your post.

reality is not negativism. try to see the essence of the post than simply joining others in praising.

I understand your point, and also the point made by Aro. No doubt this is an exam that tests the super theoretical knowledge on a candidate, but falls flat in identifying those who are honest and are real problem solvers in real life.. isnt that true? lets look at the corrpution , inefficiency and ineptness of all our civil "servants" in the country, that will be pretty obvious..

I agree that this exam is not a test for IQ.But who told you that very high IQ matters much. You need only average IQ to be a successful civil servent.Honesty, dedication & hardwork matter more. Moreover have you really gone through civil service GS question papers. You need good analytical skills to perform well in this.Mugging up and vomiting on to the paper will not work
