India's total education system is rotten
by Amitabh Verma on Feb 27, 2012 04:36 PM  | Hide replies

Indian's total education system is rotten and is based on 50 year old principles. There is a need of focussed approach.Rat race should be curtailed. Coaching system should be banned and emphasis should be on quality education within the school / university itself.
Individuals purpose of should be ascertained at school level itself and a proper education channel should be provided to him for quality education.Extra Support and infrastructure should be provided instead of reservation.

Yes, its substandard. It is because they are run like shops/departmental stores rather than institutions.

Even IIMs are completely controlled by the same corporates who control BCCI and IPL.

If there was any formulae to success??
But yes with standard set of rules
you can always enhance the way business works
it would be wrong to say they are mere clerks

Indian B School

The Indian B-School students are experts in marketing of washing powder and san-napkins . They are real 'bookworms' and not contributing anything for common people and society.

The students who are going to Indian B-Schools have undergone around 15 years of education at Indian Schools which make them bookworms with marks! Once things change out there, this will change, hopefully.

Nirmal Gupta your comments are not required here either.

BTW - if you read my comments, you will understand that they are supported by reason, not anger.

Let the market decide whether they need B-school grads

It absolutely rubbish as I'm saying not because i'm not studied from any B-school. Yes it because politicians bringing reservations here the qulity going down. If one can object that factor ask everyone to come through CAT then the quality will remain same. Sorry to say this it is not easy to crack CAT easily, one reqires lot of GK to do that. Even to crack JMBIM in Mumbai si not easy to crack. requires lot of preparation.

You are mixing up things. Even if 30% come through reservation, the other 70% still get through merit and what is stopping them from achieving something extraordinary? Do you think the 30% are bringing down the performance of the 70%?

Indian education is designed/tuned to create employees, not employers.
You're a wage slave if your company is not sharing % of profit with you.

Completely Agree
by Mr Nobody on Feb 27, 2012 12:17 PM

I couldn't agree less. He is talking wisdom. even for students MBA degree is a passport for better life. Only diffren a good B-school from bad MBA school is the kind of exposure that is being provided. Institutes teach what is required to execute but they don't teach how to decide, how to cope up pressure and still deliver, they don't teach, how to react in various situations. they don't soft skills. They rather take people, who already know all this.
