Marketing the farm products itself,in a proper way, is a problem in India. Since there is no proper management in marketing the vendors make take advantage and loot the end customer. Producing, preserving, and marketing it properly is a good idea so that the end user get it at reasonable price, and also the farmer gets his due price. Now the brokers are looting both the sides. It is a very good idea that some qualified people come to this field and manage it properly. Another problem is that there is no insurance for growers, marketers of vegts. that should also be done, so that the people continue to do this and farmers do not suicide. The insurance industry in India is hovering around the tax saving younger generation, as such it has become only a tax saving device. Some MBA should also start working in this section as well. Thanks for this attempt.
I doubt any one need MBA in IIM to do this job, I suppose some one should inform and tell him to think big , please do not waste your skill and intelligent sir.
Mahatma Ghandhi has already told that those who are not in farming sector are not eligible for food intake. Farmers are feeders for irresponsible non-farming community. Why non-farmers long or rahers beg for food.
AC cars of 15 to 20 yrs or older are available at scrap price say Rs 25 per kg. Many have run less than 90k kms. These can be profitably used for longer shelf life of perishable commodities.

I am an NRI interested to promote use of technology to market farm produce. We all know almost everyone in rural India has access to mobile phone. There is a need for direct farming. The farmer need not be "text-literate" to transact business, voice is enough". Our farmers (specially small farmers) are stickler to their words. The theme is "Reduce cost (for marketing) or more profit". I can bring technology and system to be put in place for doing this. Any takers?
