kindly contact the rediff team through the feedback link as it will not be possible for rediff to publish the contact details of the individual. Alternatively, go to the registrar of companies website and find the address of the regd. office of the company set up by him. you may even get the office phone number there. good luck. But, I don't think there is anything too great in his activities that we do not know or cannot do except his edu. background.
It is good IIM-A can produce trained vegetable vendors. It is an unmatched achievement that Harvard Business School and London School of Economics cannot match.
the returns are very good and on the same day. even if one factors out the unsold inventory and wastes the return on investment is too good. On the flip side the job requires a lot of hard work and excellent coordination from various stakeholders. Not an easy thing. So full marks to Dhirendra for starting this venture in a totally untapped and promising area. By tying up with farmers you have ensured your supplies, indeed a master stroke, a perfect example of backward integration.

Amongst the best ROIs - the biggest plus of veggie-business. And there are ways of taking care of unsold inventories, provided its consummable. Restaurants need pickles @ cheap rates!!!

Like all ventures, farming too has its ups & downs. In India mostly downs. Seems you have very little knowledge of the farming side. Besides being brow beaten by the middle men, the farmers have to deal with the vagaries of nature.... flooding, hails storms, drought, pests in plants, etc. Many farmers live a hand to mouth existence. So one season’s crop lost to these uncertainties is almost akin to one not getting a salary for 6 months. Mrigank Sharma – India Sutra
