What an intellegent conclusion ! Someone commits suicide because of Facebook , so it is bad , Students failed in exam , commits suicide , so exam is BAD , Unscsseful marrage , go for suicide , marriage is bad , can not cope with job responsiblity , opt for suicide , competition in job is bad ,!!!! ha ha ha , REDIFF STOP SUCH TYPE USELESS SCRIPTS.

Totally agree with you. Facebook is not to be blamed for this. It was started with a nice idea and it clicked. I believe its very common to have relationships getting broken and created in every part of the world. And facebook and some other internet sites created a platform to search for the best. Be it your partner, job or any other aspect of life. I hope the author doesnot have a fb profile or is very new to fb to write such a story without knowing the total benifit of the same.

guys....my conjecture is that rediff meant - it was a break up conveyed through facebook that led to the suicide........ who said.....facebook is bad??? and they havent said anything of that in the article....... this was just a method to attract you to the article..... stop arriving at conclusionsss pleaseeeeeee
Facebook is so childish and stupid. You don't have to be a member of facebook to be in touch with your friends. There is something much simpler: It is called a phone. Isn't it much simpler to pick up the phone and call them instead of sitting before your pc and logging in to fb just to say "hi"?
I certainly have no desire to make friends of unknown faceless people masquerading under false names in facebook. It is sad when people form relationships based on facebook without ever meeting them and sadder still that they take that relationship so seriously.
Why shud someone end their life for something posted in FB? Sadly blaming the guy alone is not fair. There is a lot of blame on her side as well. If he abused her in FB all she needs to do is delete her account. Her life would have moved on.
Isn't she educated enough to understand the value of her own life? While she might be intelligent sadly she has failed to understand her own value and lost faith in herself.
People have started equating real life relationships with FB status updates which is stupid to say the least. All i can say to such people leave your gadgets and FB behind and travel somewhere to the Himalayas. You will learn a thing or two about life and yourself.
I appreciate the guy! I mean you need REAL GUTS to dump a psychopant girl from IIMB. Just imagine the pain & horrific experiences the guy must have faced. I can sympathise for him. May he be proved innocent.
