International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum and advantages
by shivi sharma on Nov 07, 2014 06:30 PM

The IB Diploma Programme looks at the learning process as both challenging and enjoyable. We believe that education should foster
creativity, independent thinking, exploration and experimentation, as a lifelong process. Students are encouraged to develop sound ethical values of
kindness, respect and integrity that are instilled within a safe and nurturing environment. The IB Diploma Programme prepares students for success in higher
education and life in a global society. It has been designed to address the intellectual, social, emotional and physical well being of students.

Which is a good school ?
by Venkatesh Umapathy on Sep 24, 2011 10:08 AM

I dont understand the concept of a good school. For instance there is a school in Chennai for which the foremost condition for admission is both parents must be atleast graduates and atleast one of them should be a post graduate. What about the schools in rural and semi urban areas which take in students from the lower strata of society, go all out to teach them and bring the to a certain level. All the schools mentioned herein are located in metros and the intake itself is from the upper class and upper middle class whose parents are well educated and those who have a good family background. The effort required to produce "100%" result is same as that required to melt semi solid butter into ghee. Whereas the schools in rural and semi urban areas--- we are given only the bare raw material and the teachers give their blood and sweat to make them into finished product.

Why for this study ?
by Bhabesh Das on Sep 17, 2011 06:55 PM

I dont understand the meaning of the study. When unequals are studied. The researchers could have studied the same instituites in different states or citiesm and theresfter could have mnade any comparision. It is unfair to compair the private schools with public school.
