and I loved the MMS !!!!! Wish she had done more....Her voice was so sweet... Would have liked to hear her m.o.a.n
All reads well.Excellent building, infrastructure, lavish green play grounds,AC classrooms,intelligent/smart classes ,huge fees etc. But,will anyone tell me the salary of the teachers, their working hours and pressures.Mostly, teachers are paid very less-less than a private car driver.Yes,it is a fact. They work under tremendous pressure, work from 7 AM to 5 PM,bring home class work copies and other administrative jobs at no extra money. What students are we producing in these schools, except for grooming them for IIT and IIM.Is any value being imbibed in the students? No.Generalists are being produced by dozen.Mediocrity is the order of the day.Frankly, most of the private schools are making money. They are nothing but another business house, where you do not pay tax and expenses are very less.No wonder such schools are flourishing by the day.Govt. must look into the real motifs of these schools .Regulatory authority is a must.
All these schools are ranked on what basis? Survey says that 85% of the Indian graduates are unemployable... So, taking the score in the exams are not the real way to rank the schools. Somehow, we have pushed our kids to be in a paranoia that they will have to score to get in to a professional college else they will fail in life. The clueless ones work hard, get into IITs and NITs, earn a engineering degree, join IIMs or XLRI and end up in financial sector or FMCG and work on NRI status in other countries. Waste of govt. subsidized fee. Instead of ranking all these BS, start with writing 1 success story every day, which will be a learning point for few and encouragement for few more. With the above list, what can you get in life?
THE BEST SCHOOLS ARE THOSE RUN MY CORPORATIONS AND MUNICIPALITIES.> THEY BRING OUT THE BEST STUDENTS. THOSE STUDENTS WHO TOP IN EXAMA ARE FROM THESE SCHOOLS.THE PRIVATE SCHOOLS ARE THE BIGGEST FRAUD IN POST INDEPENDENCE INDIA.GOOD SCHOOLS ARE RUN BY RAMAKRISHNA MUTT AND OTHERS.IN CHENNAI PADMA SHESHADRI IS A BIG BUSINESS AND ITS STUDENTS HAVE NEVER TOPPED IN PUBLIC EXAMS. PRIVATE SCHOOLS ARE NOTHING BUT UPPER CLASS STATUS SYMBOLS.Golan
If the thing continue the way they are going you will be ranking nurseries, kinder gartens and Montessori classes soon. Putting students and institutions in boxes stifles learning initially and innovation later. These things are required most in the country.

Rating colleges and universities is bad enough, but don't do it with schools. Children should be attending a school closest to their home. Likewise, students mostly tend to attend the university associated with their region. Ranking (and talking of standard) has a negative effect on the morale of the students in their teens or very early sixties. Employers should be encouraged to screen young people on the basis of aptitude, personality and communication skills depending upon requirement of the job. Industries, like IT, who seldom consult the university planners, and nevertheless expect students who are JOB READY should be castigated.
Improving the overall level of education and training should however be a priority.
