I don't at all agree with this ranking and branding exercise carried on a regular basis by marketing and survey agencies of schools, IITs, IIMs & Medical Colleges. Talented and meritorious students/ professionals can be found from every school/college. In which school had Abdul Kalam our ex-president studied? Can the reporter find out in which school the great mathematician Srinivas Ramanujan had studied? This is a good marketing and brand building excercise.
Dear Author, can u publish the questionaire , no of respondents , sample size from each zone , no of parents interviewed , no of students , no of corporate , no of teachers and which statistical tool used by u. Was the questionaire filled by Rs 200 per day field officers. C'mon Rediff lets see ur analytical skills. All Bluff , no facts... Jai Hind
This certainly is a cooked up survey. Where are Kendra vidyalayas? Where is DAV? Too bad rediff is publishing survey results of some unknown and insignificant xyz agency.
Im sure these schools have fat kids having early diabetes hypertension symptoms as most of them dont have any activities. Girls no doubt... wud have experienced everything in life. Padmasheshadri produces high class pot belly guys. They dont have any decision meking power. They fall sick if exposed to rain or sunlight for a day. Peer pressure gets mounted and even ordinary students forced to immitate their class mates

Obviously these schools are for rich and to attract the NRIs returning to India - Rediff is becoming a big marketing tool too.
entire study is baised, narrow in its approach and not holistic which has been done just to please a few of them. rediff should look into the full justification before releasing it on the net
